    On today’s Hello Houston, Ernie, Frank, and Celeste talk with State Senator Paul Bettencourt to discuss the newly formed Disaster Preparedness and Flooding committee, made in response to the devastating floods in Central Texas at the top of the first hour.

    In the first hour of the show, we talk with State Rep. James Talarico, who joins us to discuss the future of the Texas Democratic party, and we learn about Urban Paths, a walking wellness company that provides people with guided walking experiences, from founder Laura Conely.

    Then, in the second hour, we discuss the 100th anniversary of Memorial Hermann–Texas Medical Center with the CEO of Memorial Hermann–TMC Adult Services, Jason Glover and the Chief Flight Nurse for Life Flight, Rudy Cabrera.

    Plus, we also talk about the summer’s most popular dish, hot dogs, with Tray Boone, a General Manager for Portillo's to celebrate National Hot Dog Day.

    On today’s Hello Houston, Ernie, Frank, and Celeste weigh in on today’s top stories at the top of each hour, including the U.S. Supreme Court allowing the Trump administration to resume dismantling the U.S. Department of Education, recent ICE crackdowns in Houston, and more.

    In the first hour, we talk with Houston Public Media reporter Sarah Grunau, who discusses her reports highlighting the recent string of deaths at Harris County Jail. Also, we learn about a new exhibition at the Menil Drawing Institute called What Drawing Can Be: Four Responses with Associate Curator Kelly Montana and Houston artist Jillian Conrad.

    Then, in the second hour of the show, we’re joined by Greater Houston Community Foundation’s Diana Zarzuelo and United Way of Greater Houston’s Mary Vasquez, who both break down the readiness and prevention mission of the Greater Houston Disaster Alliance.
