Getting top value from both your in-person and virtual workforce with totally accountable systems (TAS)!

Many executives and managers have learned to accept the poor performance they are getting from their employees as normal. You are paying for results every payday, but you are not always getting them. TAS are for professionals who understand that the “new norm” isn’t something that has to be accepted. If you want to create an environment where you can actually count on people to keep their word, this book is for you. Remember, people treat you exactly the way you teach people to treat you.

TAS have been designed for:

  • The CEO who wants to grow their company to become an industry leader.
  • The senior-level executive who wants to enhance their personal results and the results of their team.
  • The new manager or supervisor who wants to learn the skills of building a successful team.
  • The employee who just wants to step up and accelerate their rate of promotion.

Over the past 35 years, Mike Scott has trained more than 200,000 employees in live workshops and, due to COVID, thousands more in virtual workshops. The need for accountability in the workplace has become even more vital. The results have been phenomenal.

Mike Scott believes any time invested in training must provide information that has immediate and applicable take-home value. Mike uses his in-depth knowledge of training, employee development, and business to help professionals quickly and fully absorb and utilize the information he teaches.

He started his own training and development company in July of 1984 and regularly speaks, designs, and conducts training programs for both large and small companies such as McDonald's Corporation, Ernst & Young, AAA, and many others. He served in the US Army for four years through the rank of captain, including a one-year tour of duty in Vietnam. Mike earned his BS in business and his MA in psychology from North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota.

Reseñas de la Crítica

“It has been several years since our entire management group worked with Mike, and since we began to put his philosophy into practice at TCI. During that period, TCI evolved into a different company and, as a consequence, improved in virtually every aspect of how we conducted business.” (Steven Copp, president and chief operating officer, Trans-Coil, Inc.)

Implementing and expanding on common sense.

Preface: I'm not sure what the single one star reviewer's issue was with the actual audio book itself. I listened to it on 2x speed, I can recall clearly 1 verbal mix up and maybe one lengthened pause from the entire 2 and a half hours of listening. I did it in one sitting and felt engaged by the audio itself. The music helped to switch thoughts over to the next chapter.

I was not sure what to expect when I had this book referred to me. I can gladly say that I see the value and it sets a good expectation of what culture I can expect to be apart of in my future.
The book goes over topics that seem like common sense, but puts the ideologies and processes into actionable steps that anyone at any level can apply in their own lives. While this is not industry specific knowledge and may not help you do your specific job, it helps to create a system for you to manage how you do your job and stay ACCOUNTABLE. If I had to put this book into a sentence I would say "Creating a culture of accountability in your organization and personal life will help you and others to not only see positive change but to also exceed the goals that you originally set out to achieve."

Poor Quality Audiobook, Loaded with Bias and Misinformation

Skip this book in audio and paperback. The audio was very poorly done - loud music at various points and the author stumbling. For serious business folks/scholars note - the author does not cite many of the “studies” his information comes from and the book is largely anecdotal. This is a self-published book from a guy hocking his program for sale. Are there business best practices here? A few. Nothing groundbreaking and concepts that are already well established elsewhere.
