Enjoyable Friends to Lovers Romance

Joe Arden is a longtime favorite narrator of mine. Melissa Moran is a new to me narrator, but I really enjoyed her performance in this story. I will definitely be listening to more of her.

I really enjoyed this friends to lovers romance. Elle was such a sweet and innocent young lady. Walker was quite a bit more experienced in life. This was definitely a slow building romance. It took a while for these two to finally look at each other in a different light and realize that they both wanted something more.

Walker had always viewed himself as less than. He didn't think he was good enough for Elle and so he didn't want to pursue anything with her. Elle didn't really think she was his type so she tried to keep her feelings to herself. Slowly but surely their feelings started to show and then all bets were off.

My only issue with the book was I thought it took way too long for them to finally start looking at each other differently and then even longer before they finally got together. I would have liked to see more of them as a couple, even if it was them hiding their relationship from her brother and the rest of the family.

Elle and Walker’s book was something special!

What was unique about this book is that they each had personal journey’s that advanced and unfolded for the better BECAUSE they had one another in the others corner. Almost like neither would have become the person they were intended to be had they not had each other. They found their place and healing as individuals by one another’s side and that makes for such a special love story.

Interesting story.

I loved Wicked Hearts but I would have loved it more if I read a little more about Elle and Walker’s love story. I thought the ending was a bit rushed. The story was beautiful, it was interesting, sweet and spicy. It was full of laughter and love. A very good series so far.

Bad boy. Good girl. Fabulous story.

Walker is a player. Elle is searching for her purpose. Her dream. They are opposite in every way but somehow perfect for each other.

I loved this brother’s little sister and his best friend getting together. Walker broke my heart more than once. He’s such a sweet soul struggling with his past demons . And he can’t stay away from Elle. She realizes he’s more than her brother’s best friend. He’s everything she wants. And he realizes he no longer wants any other woman but Elle.

This narration was emotional, fun, and heart melting. Absolutely perfection. I loved every word.

NARRATION DONE PERFECTLY!

I really loved Elle and Walker's story! This one is so sweet and has that little age gap and brother's best friend trope going on. How can you say no to that??

Once I got a few chapters in I could not put this down, you will get sucked into it.
Walker will have you swooning and loving him so much. I love him!
Elle is the sweetness in the family and has so much love, she has a big heart.

I listened to this audio and loved every minute of it. Joe does a wonderful job bringing Walker to life and Melissa does a great job with Elle! You can hear the emotions in their voices and that makes it all so much more!

I can't wait to dive into the next book!

Sweet serendipity.

A little wicked goes a long way when it comes to an Amber Kelly story. Elle and Walker give emotions a taste of what it means to be naughty. A good girl that has quite a wild side. A bad boy with more than a hint of heart. Add a small town with more than enough big city scandal and the stage is set for temptation. Wicked Hearts is sweet serendipity.

How do these keep getting better?

Every time I get through one of Amber Kelly’s books, I swear it’s the best one. I don’t know how she does it, but damn I love this series!

Great Small Town Romance!

Wicked Hearts was a great addition to this series and my favorite so far! This small-town romance series makes me happy and I really enjoy the family and characters. Elle and Walker have known each other since childhood and have been pining over one another for a long while but not acting on it. There are some heartbreaking moments but also a lot of great happy ones. I found the characters relatable and the story moved along at a great pace. I do wish there had been more Walker and Elle time and them diving into their relationship but overall this was a very enjoyable read.

Joe Arden nailed the performance by bringing out the heartfelt emotions with Walker's situations. Melissa Moran was very enjoyable and I will look for more of her books!

Loved it!!

Since the age of three, Elle has been taken care of by her big brother and aunts. Now in her twenties she is finally ready to come out from under their wings and find her own way. Falling in love with one of her brother's best friends was not part of the plan but you cannot walk away when the heart wants what it wants. But will Walker step up to the plate and to her big brother and prove to Elle and the rest of the group that she is his everything? Or will big brother and the devil on his shoulder tell him Elle deserves someone so much better than him? While I have loved Walker from the short times he has been part of the stories that came earlier in the series, it is not until the end of this audiobook that he shows everyone his true nature. Amber Kelly has such a way of telling a tale that the listener cannot help but fall in love and feel all the emotions that the characters do. Joe Arden and Melissa Moran were wonderfully paired with the characters and it felt like I was right in the middle of Poplar Falls. A place I would love to be.
