Brilliant.

I did figure out what happened way before, but that didn’t stop me from continuing to read this book. The author did an amazing job storytelling.

So boring.

This was painful. I love to listen to the novel before seeing the show but this turned me off of both. Narration was fine.

way better than I thought!

I decided to give it a lesson since I saw that amazon made a series based off the book.

I didn't expect too much from it but ended up listening to it all in one day.

Make sure to get tissues ready!

This is a YA book….

….So, if you’re not into listening to teenagers “falling in love” and knowing everything there is to know about life already, skip this one. The reviews here must be from young people or immature people who think this is entertainment for anyone over 25. Literally, 25 (eye roll). What a waste of money and time. I couldn’t wait for this book to end while listening on speed 1.5. The only saving grace is the narrator and the writing is decent.
Anyways….since no one else is saying it, I will, this book is for teenagers, not adults.

Recommend reading the hard copy of this one

Maybe it’s just me, but I had a hard time following this story through audio. The reader was great, there was just a lot going on in this one! Pretty good story, but not in my top reads

Hooked on the series

Incredibly written, love it, can’t wait to read the rest of the series. Highly recommended

Slow start, fantastic ending

I wanted to listen to the book before watching the series - I love the voice and delivery but found the story line verrrrry slow. The last hour is incredible though!

Family drama was so good to me. I loved how detail it was about island.

I am really looking forward to reading the 2nd book to tell me more about the family

Don’t understand the hype

This one took me a while to finish. It had a lot of hype, so I went in with high expectations, but I personally found it hard to stay fully engaged. The ending was definitely emotional and heartbreaking—just wish the rest of the story had pulled me in more.

B- review good story but NOT a mystery

Say 4/5 stars overall. was an original storyline but i wanted mystery/thriller like it was summarized as, this was not it! Surprise ending but other than that, it’s a storyline of a broken family dynamic. Rate this story B+ but bc it’s not a thriller, B- Recommend, just not in this genre
