the world and magic are relatively good, but the characters and there relationships leave a lot to be desired. the abusive girl and beta male dynamic is particularly annoying. overall I feel like I should have enjoyed this more then I did, it checks a lot of boxes for me. but in the end I barely stayed interested enough to finish.

voice acting is off
why is the FMC the person with the deepest voice? It completely goes against the descriptions. the story is decent since the MC isn't over powered and actually has a journey to learn and improve.

why does she sound like that?
it was very tropey and kinda average. the MC isn't overpowered though so I like that. the one big thing is the love interest... she's supposed to be pretty. I can imagine a lot, but I cannot image an attractive woman that sounds like the way it's read. honestly, a woman with a voice like that would probably be built like a man and that's cool if that's what the MC prefers but I can't tell and it's messing with me.
