simply lovely and fun!

I just started knitting my first sweater and was on the hunt for a relatable, cute murder mystery when I stumbled across this gem!

the characters are perfectly written and there is a calming presence with the narration!

each book was fantastic in its own way and even I was stumped on who the killer was haha.

the knitting, wool, and terminology I loved so much as I was working with my Wools and just loving what the vampires kept making Lucy, the main character haha their personalities are adorable and you just can't help but love the main characters!

I purchased the next books 4-6 and I'll be starting those now while I continue knitting my sweater. can't wait to listen to more of these books!

Debora Harkness?

I am not done with book # 1 yet, but the writing style, the setting in Oxford and Massachusets, and the fact that there are vampires and witches involved.... as well as the sparks on the fingers of the witch...
it is VERY reminiscent if Debora Harkness's A Discovery Of Witches. (which I highly recommend)
The first teo books in the discovery of witches series are my fave. i have read both 6 times so far. the third one I could barely get through. Hope these books stay as engaging as the first one is right now. 🤞

Love the connection to the old and new world

Love this book series cannot wait to read the next 3! Sarah Zimmerman does an incredible job as a narrator for all of the characters!

Magical mystery

I absolutely loved the combination of knitting and magic! I knitted while listening to this book. My imagination was in full mode!

How lovely and cozy these books are!!!

I was a bit dubious about these but I was very happily wrong! It’s very easy to fall into & get irrational when the books end. I’m not saying I snapped at my brother but I’m not, not saying this. It’s a wonderful series to get lost in! I’m not giving anything away not even names… if you wanna know grab a credit & gooooo!

Light and fun

A really sweet ‘who dunit?’ with a witchy twist. Good character development who are very engaging.
Great narration.

Enjoyable from start to finish.

Not the typical vamp/ witch book-just a fun little mystery with humor and great character development in a quaint little city where little shops still exist. Narration was a plus!

Looking forward to the rest of the series!

Initially wasn’t sure about the idea of a knitting club but it works well with the story. It’s great that Lucy has her own team of sleuthing vampires as she’s learning about her new powers of being a witch plus solving murders. This is my kind of story👍
