Complex and empathetic treatment of believable characters

I found myself drawn into the circumstances by which two strong women with tender souls are driven apart by the hypocrisy rooted in the male dominant and religiously repressed town in which they lived.
I hope Ms. Lenhardt continues to explore this topic with more strong female characters and teams up with the talented duo of narrators she employed in the fine novel.

Love the story

I could really get into the scenes as if I was there. Only thing I wish there was more detailed romantic scenes. Those seemed like they were cut short or cut out.

Great story. A spicy novel with a lesson on how bigotry and intolerance can ruin lives.

Don’t deliberate. Get this one. The story is great. The writing is great. The performance is great. You won’t regret it.
