so much more than the anime!

I am kicking myself that I waited so long to get involved with the light novels. I really enjoy the anime and there is just so much more to everyone here.
I admit the narration was a little hard to get started with in the first volume, but I didn't have that disconnect in this volume as much. Some of the voices and especially the monster vocalizations are hard on the ears. But when it comes to a voice for Naofumi, it fits.
I look forward to listening to more, but first more general library catch-up!

Loved this story! I actually own this in its manga form but listening to it as an audio book as well brings a new level of excitement to this story.

He fixed the voices!

the story is great but that was never really the issue. the narrator however has improved vastly since the previous volume. he no longer makes all the females sound like the goose from kung-fu panda.

Builds out the lore more

The acting is better than the first book. The story is fine and interesting. Now time to watch the animation on CrunchyRoll.

getting there

narrator did a better job than on the first book, but trying to make the noises of monsters really isn't a good idea. It rips me out of the listen and hurts my ears.

Don’t judge the voice acting of the series by this entry.

The performer does a better job of voicing female characters after this first book. The emotional climax max hits as hard as the adaptation though I cans see why they truncated some of the first chapter.

A good series continues! This is a fast paced story with character development and surprises one after the other!

The hero continues to grow and strengthen his team. New players are introduced that provide a unique idea of a team member.

We get two stories in 1

Not only do we get to continue our main story that some of us may already know from the anime, but we also get a new story of the character development of our narrator Kurt. His female voices certainly improved the most, but so too has his male voices. Originally it was a bit hard to tell the difference between two male characters but this time I could hear a solid change when he swapped between two male characters. Keep up the good work!

Love this series

Love this series the worst part about it is waiting for the next one to be done.

I am happy that narratior is going to do more audiobook for The Rising of Shield Hero series. I encourage him to do more If he ever want do continue.

I love the family Dynamics of Naofumi, Raphtalia, and Filo it was always my favorite aspect of the series. Naofumi has to clean up the wreckless Three heroes mess as always he despite what people think of him. Naofumi is true to himself as Shield Hero.
