A genuine improvement over the anime
It cuts out all the fluff! No Silica, no Lizbeth, no Yui, and I genuinely believe that’s an improvement. It definitely still has some issues, some of which are just the story of SAO, and some of which are the novel dragging a bit on unnecessary details. However, if you’re even a mild fan of SAO, then give it a shot!

I think the story was good but it was too rushed imo. we went from floor 1 to floor 74 in a few sentences. But the voice performance was great.

If you loved the anime...
Audio book was excellent! There were a few details that I feel the anime missed that were fleshed out better in the softnovel. Having one of the main voice actors provide narration was also a plus. Hopefully more English audio book adaption of soft novels are on the way!

Wonderful
I have enjoyed this book and I'm waiting for the next book. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long, November 25 to December 25 would be nice for the next book.
As a thought, and I understand the cost, it would be really nice if more of the voice actors joined the next book.

I love the TV Show
