This is a very interesting, heartfelt and gripping glimpse into Mayte's life before meeting Prince, during their growing and changing relationship and beyond. Mayte is a strong, talented, kind, smart, and beautiful woman. This is a story mixed with innocence and ugliness. I can totally understand why Prince loved her so much. There is so much joy, fun, hope and love, as well as pain and rejection in this book. An emotional roller coaster for sure.
