I originally bought the book and once I was into this I loved the rpg aspect. I love rpg games, so this made me want to keep reading and every time I put it down I wanted to know more of the story. I can't wait for another like this and it's made me interested in wanting to read more of this authors work. and I absolutely love that the audiobook was released

Wholesome Slice of Life

Excellent! Listened to this twice. The first time alone, the second time with my 6 year old. This was a great book to listen to together. It’s such a unique world with a vibrant tapestry of character that are woven together for quite the enjoyable tale. My kid absolutely enjoyed listening to it with me. This was a great way to introduce them to the genre and share something together.

Good characters and the story was enjoyable. Not my usual thing but tried something different and was glad I did

Wonderful story

The story it self is great a wonder filled beginning to what I hope is an amazing story. For me the pace of reading felt a bit slow but I no way took away from the story.

Very calming narrator and easy story to listen to. Highly recommend it to those looking for a relaxing read

Fresh Experience

This would be a perfect slice of life story for those in search for emotional growth, and learning about how how make your own path in life. It evokes a Ghibli-like scene for me, idyllic and sublime. I am not familiar with a lot of the tropes and references which made this a fresh experience for me.

The narrator however was difficult for me to focus on.

Wonderful Slice of Life Fantasy

This was a great listen. The characters were distinct and had enough depth to make me root for each of them and care about their perspectives. The story was solid, the system aspects were interesting, and the mystery aspects kept me wanting to binge more. Overall, it was an enjoyable book.

The Harvest of Moondew Valley 1

Alden has had a rough life. Rocky relationships with family and girlfriends have driven him into himself and destroyed his self esteem. So much so that he hires a private investigator to help him find family members to get to know. What he finds will change his life forever. The deed to a family farm.

As a mostly cozy adventure/slice of life story, this was done really well! There are multiple different PoV that handle each aspect. All of the characters are fun and relatable. The departure from the typical fantasy races was very refreshing. I’m looking forward to reading both the sequel and the free included prequel! Chris Roust did a great job with the narration.

Enjoyable Stories and Characters.

Good Slice of Life Fantasy with an interesting system. Having the MC see where he stands with other characters was creative, if not unique. Solid start to the series with a narrator that's well above average.

Enjoyable Story and Performance

I already loved the story but getting to hear it performed is an all new experience. The narration is top notch.
As someone who doesn't have time to play a lot of games, getting to enjoy one through reading/listening is so much fun. And this is the type of story I enjoy, slice of life, traveling with Alden as he explores his inheritance of more than just land.
