Review before completion.
I love this book. I can’t turn off Audible as I am so engaged. But, I know this will end too soon and I will sorely miss the characters.

An Enjoyable Read
I really enjoyed this book, though the dynamic between Isabelle and Emilie, and Emilie’s seeming estrangement from her family was not fully explained. Regardless, the story of Stasia and Nicholas…their bravery and fortitude in the face of unimaginable loss, gave me all the feels. 💕

Brilliant

Leaned so much about resistance in Normandy
I did take away a star for uncalled for use of the LORD’S name in vain . It was excessive and didn’t add to the story. Other than that the Audible was so good and so scary at different times. You never knew if the peopl,you had come to care about would live another minute much less another day. I stayed on edge at times. Beautiful story of pure young love and such sadness. These people who fought in the war and the resistance surely were the greatest generation . Mrs Bowen is excellent author and looking forward to more books from her

Well written
The narrators do a pretty good job. the Author does an excellent job taking you back in time. This story in my opinion is well written and worth listening to
