Roland Tankowicz is not a complex man. After securing victory over The Brokerage, all he wants is to get back to work maintaining the balance of power in Dockside. A cryptic job offer from a good client hurls New Boston’s most infamous team of fixers hundreds of light-years from Earth. At first, the gig seems normal enough: Stop a rampaging android before it destroys a whole colony of unarmed scientists. Other than the obvious lies being told by the client and the addition of several competing mega-corporations, it’s pretty standard fare for Roland and his team.

But things take a turn for the bizarre when Pike’s Privateers show up with information that changes their corporate milk run into a quagmire of backroom deals, industrial espionage, and murder. How did a bunch of pacifist scientists get a combat android? What kind of deal are they working with OmniCorp? What does the death of one old farmer have to do with any of this? Roland, Lucia, and the rest of the crew have just a few days to find the answer to these questions.

One thing is clear: There’s a corporate war brewing. This one tiny colony perched on a faraway mudball looks to be the flashpoint that plunges the rest of the galaxy into fiscal and physical chaos. Can anyone stamp out the fire before it is too late? It will take more than technological might or overwhelming firepower to avert a catastrophe this time. It will take the kind of love that does not alter, and bears out all the way to - The Edge of Doom.

This book was great. Really made me want a series just about Pike's crew or a crew like it.

Continuing the story with a bang!

Another great addition to the series, cant wait for of the Fixer story. Jay Ben Markson continues to be a great narrator never a dull moment.

Great job

Every time I listen to one of these books I get a smile on my face. Very well written and great to listen to. The characters play off of each other and it's very enjoyable. I would recommend this to any science fiction fans out there.

Another great binge

This series has been one of my favorites and this book is no different. I always look forward to the next one :-)

I was wirried for nothing it's GREAT next arc

I was very worried , since most stories fall apart once you hit a major plot arc's end , imagine my delight to find the new book opened an excing new chapter in the Fixer's life and the lives of his team. Thie story hits the right blend of story and action with a host of new and old characters making an appearance. Roland faces off with a new breed of enemy and an old one as well. Thier is battle on a dozen levels here, and this is not just a few slugfests. It has some dark cyberpunk humor , some great sci fi action, ortillry strikes, we get some proper space combat, and lots of fun all around. New readers can even start here without an issue if thats your thing , I've gotten a few people who hadn't read it before to fall right in.

I won't drop any spoilers but expect things to get KINETIC ! Oh and some unexpected romance as well...
