I never write reviews, I had to for this one.

If Clive Barker and Dante had a baby, and it wrote the Wizard of Oz in Hell, it would be this book. I found this book disgusting and could not stop listening.

This book is visceral: read the trigger warnings and be wary if body horror is too much for you. The descriptions are traumatic and terrifying. The main character, Nick, goes from unlikable to loathsome and I still couldn't help rooting for him. He is at one moment tragic, in another, resilient, pure evil and pure hope.

The narrator is perfection.

I'm the kind of person where nothing scares me. I haven't found a book labeled horror that frightened me since I was a child. I picked this up blindly and listened while doing yard work with surround sound headphones and worked until it got dark, and kept going because I was in it. Then I met Muck and scared the sh!t out of myself in the woods, in the pitch black. I had to stop listening for two days. I'm glad I finished and can't wait for the next book. The only audio book close to this is the surround sound version of The Mist.

A must read for all you sickos out there.

A great Audible horror story!

I could not put it down. This suspenseful, psych/theological horror story had multiple twists and turns. Every chapter had me on the edge of my seat. The author wrote a modern day "Dante's Inferno" for suicides. The plot was well written, and the metamorphosis of the main character's personality, Nick, was well developed. Tom Jordan did an impressive narration for all of the characters. Warning, this story contains graphic violence and horror that is not for the weak at heart.

Amazing

This was a wild read but captivating. Disturbing, intriguing left you wanting more. Highly recommend read.

Extreme Horror

A solid story with no shortage of gory details. The reader for this audio book was also excellent.

The originality

This was an odd but absolutely original book. It is extremely graphic so not for the faint of heart and certainly should not be read by juveniles. It kept you listening and wondering what would happen next. A thought provoking book in the end.

Horrifically fabulous!

I kinda felt like a horrible human being for loving this book as much as I did. I can honestly say, of all the audio books I've listened to, this one is my fav so far. Movie PLZ! Not for the faint of heart, it's brutal, but oh what a ride, couldn't put it down, don't judge me 🤪
