The story is fine but it doesn’t live up to the hype of it being scary. I wouldn’t consider this a thrilling or scary book. It is a good read though. Just if you are wanting something spooky this aint it

Entry-level, young adult horror.

Are you wanting to read something with a little more of an edge after finishing a few Goosebumps books? Then this book is for you. A nice and light introduction to what bad horror tropes are and how frequently they can be used for minimal effect.

Are you a veteran horror fan looking for something new and gutteral? Something that sticks with you for days? Something along the lines of Barker, Triana, Ketchum, Cutter, or even King? Then you should probably skip this one, trust me. The social media recommendations are completely wrong about this one.

A perfectly creepy tale!

I enjoy books that make my skin crawl and that's why I absolutely love this story! It definitely has the ability to give a person the heebie jeebies and leave you needing to keep a light on when you go to bed. I'm happily uncomfortable!

This is the first horror novel that I had to shut down well before sleep time!!

Well written, well narrated, creepy, thoughtful, and just good.

This kept me up at night

Although this book is a Page turner, I needed to read it in dosages because it was so creepy that it scared me at night. I loved it!!

I enjoyed this. However, it had a lackluster ending. I felt like it ended so abruptly.

Excellently Terrifying!

The excitement and horror start almost from the very beginning of the book and do not stop until the very end. I ravenously consumed this book in under 24 hours from when I started. The performance of the narrator was probably the best I've experienced after listening to hundreds of books over the years. He truly added to the terror! Bravo!

AMAZING @ 1st 🥹

I loved 3/4 of this listen after that I felt it was repetitive over & over on the same thing but the experience was still worth it I just skipped a bit lol 🖤 p.s. I'll be avoiding any nature walks in the woods for a bit 👹
