Great story and narration

Ive been enjoying the Dark Shores series and I was hesitant about this one since I was a huge fan of the 37th in other novels. But this was a truly a fantastic addition to the series. I recommend reading it before Gilded Serpent as it will give you some background on Agrippa and a few other things that happen. Agrippa has become a favorite character of mine and I loved reading his POV and story. The narrator was also very good. I haven’t been impressed with the male narrators on the other two books so I was glad that this one was better.

I think it was good but hard to focus when it’s just the one person talking for so many people including the girl parts.

In love with this entire series

Danielle does again, with this epic prelude. This has quickly become my all time favorite series.

okay, the story was great. I had a hard time paying attention in the begining but was able to pay attention and finish the book.
I prefer when there are 2 narrators, helps me pay attention.
this narrator had a professionally trained voice so they were enjoyable to listen to.

Good

So this audiobook is a novella for the series Dark Shores. Even for novada I'm impressed with how the plot thicken and it tells what happens before the series again I haven't read this series but I can see that Tarnished Empire makes me wanna read it or listen to it however the series cost credits and I don't want to waste my credits.

gripping story, couldn't push pause!

The author's ability to convey complex characters with human flaws created a book I couldn't pause on. Without extraneous details to draw out the book, but enough to paint a picture of their world and it's rules, the author masterfully reveals their choices and the forces beyond their control. Great set up for the series.

Riveting Beginning To This Series!

This story of war, politics, and star-crossed lovers marks my beginning of this series. However, the ending has me quickly moving on to the next three books with Guilded Serpent coming out within the week.

Told from three POV’s (Marcus, Agrippa, & Silvara) with excellent narration, this story moves forward at warp speed to its surprising end.

I highly recommend this audiobook for lovers of Roman Empire legions, political intrigue, rebel forces, and star-crossed lovers. Or as just a start to the Dark Shores/Dark Skies series.
