Acerca de esta escucha

No one leaves a negotiation happy.

But wounded pride aside, Sylver was overjoyed with how everything turned out.

He left with a talented clairvoyant, an army of highly skilled dark elves, a talking golden crowbar, the finger of the greatest lich to ever exist, and all it cost him was a fraction of a fraction of a century.

Sadly Eira didn’t simply stop and wait for his return, Lola became a king, Bruno concocted abominations, Faust drowned his sorrows in powders and elixirs, and the ever-looming threat of High-Elves and Krists, loomed more than ever.

There was also the problem of a wandering [Hero], Sophia’s disappearance, rumours of a Sun demon, and further minor issues that were on Sylver’s seemingly endless to-do list.

But the important thing was, he had a way to find Edmund, and all the cultivators, country sized mountains, ancient dragons, and swamp witches in the world weren’t going to be enough to stop him.

Book 5 of this Fantasy LitRPG Series about a reincarnated necromancer growing in power and finding his way in a new world where the rules have changed vastly since he last "lived."

About the series: With equal parts humor and dark sorcery action, expect loads of skill progression, deep worldbuilding, and unforgettable characters in this story which had nearly 10 million views on Royal Road. Now completely revised and re-edited for Kindle & Audible.

Slower Than Before, But Still Good

This book is still the same quality as all the previous ones in terms of characters, magic, and worldbuiliding. We get to see a few threads from the first two books start to come together, but overall this is mostly setup. In many ways, it's similar to the second half of book three (when Sylver is in the Garden's plane).

Honestly, the placing of these books is really painful. The story arcs themselves are fine and nicely done, but the breaks in between "books" is really rough. The Garden arc should have been one entire book, as should have been this Cultivation arc. I suggest going back and reading the last few hours of Book 4 if you can (everything since Sylver left the Garden) so you don't get whiplash from how the story starts.

Still, I greatly enjoyed this and can't wait for the next one. I highly recommend.

Sidetrack

Sylver is the best definition of “what was I doing again” but making each tangent incredibly entertaining. Gonna have to listen to this one a couple times!

Enjoyable but that last chapter...

it was a good continuation of the series but the last chapter is just the last half of the one before it repeating again and kind of ruined it because I thought I had one more chapter left just to hear it repeating instead.

This again?

Minor/Major spoilers possible.

I was really looking forward to Sylver returning to his own realm and being within his own element, however, in this book he goes to cultivator land. He knows just enough about cultivators to get himself into trouble. My favorite thing about this series is Sylver's bad@ss know it all attitude that is backed up by his extensive knowledge base. So him going to cultivator land where most of his knowledge is useless was a huge let down. Also, the book ended suddenly. It was so sudden that I thought maybe there was an issue with the recording. Unfortunately, this means the next book will take place in cultivator land once again.

It is tiring how overpowered some characters are. It is like come on, how is that allowed to be a thing within the rules of the system? I honestly hate the cultivation system and culture. Instead of mages and cultivators being on the same planet, I wish there was a cultivator planet that Syler never had to go to. Warriors using mana with a stupid honor system would have been fine. An energy source that half the population can't sense is aggravating.

I'm not sure if this happened to anyone else, but my recording had the last chapter twice. It was fixed by re-downloading the book.

This is one of my favorite series right now. Even with two books that I found aggravating, it is still better than most LitRPGs out there right now. Keep the books coming please!

Interesting

Love the voice acting, and story has many layers to it. Love the complex characters.

A bit slower than the others but still good

This one contained more fluff, progressed a bit slower. It felt like either a setup for a bigger story (about the royalties and unnamed etc) or just filler, hard to tell. I still found it really well written, well edited, excellent performance by Garrett and excellent quality of all technical.

Cultivator land

Another fun installment in the series. I like the interaction with the cultivator trope and how it relates to mana systems. Good development and a nice cliff hanger for the next novel.
