great story but....

this is a great listen but just like the last book Virgin, there are 3, yes 3 books missing that come before Virgin. and Surrender. How can you put up 2 books knowing the first 3 are missing. The end gives us the glimpse of those books and I want them since the characters are all in the last 2 books. Really?

good but like previous book it does not feel mafia more cult. I enjoyed it

Another hot Bauchman

I love the Bauchman men, and Nick is no different from the rest of the loving, dominant men. Nick and Hannah get a second chance to see if their love can last and if Hannah can follow Nick’s rules.

Another Baughman dream come true

The way Nick says sweatheart to Hannah made me literally melt inside!!! I swear this narrator could be an honorary Baughman brother. His voice and expressions are a perfect fit for this gorgeous dangerous group of men and made the story come to life. Swooning hard!! Nothing is hotter than seeing/listening to a strong dominant man being vulnerable, and this checks all the boxes! Nick was everything, and once Hannah got out of her own way and stopped running she saw it too. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review.

Those Bachman men are so easy to fall in love with. Hannah comes to visit her friend Adrianna in the village. While here, she is put under the protection of Nicholas who takes his job very seriously. When she steps out of line, he is right there to correct her! But his form of discipline is not what she is expecting and is disturbed by her reaction to him. Running off fighting her feelings, they cross paths 3 years later. Do they still have the chemistry? Will Hannah be able to live under Nicholas’s rule? Shanna Handel’s amazing second installment had me from the first minute. Hannah is extremely independent, stubborn and has a goal. Nicholas is fiercely loyal and passionate, and will do anything to keep her safe. It’s easy to get lost in their story, the emotional tugging, the heated passion and the underlying suspense kept me invested in the outcome of their story. Add in the cameos from Adrianna and Dante, it gives us a feeling of familiarity and community.

Zachary Zaba just enhances this story with his amazing narration. He has such a perfect voice for his alpha males, and Nick had it all. He gave off that true feeling of love and passion, even when Nick was delivering his discipline! He easily changes between characters, though I would have liked Hannah to have a little stronger British accent. I really enjoyed his performance and am looking forward to book 3.

A SCORCHING HOT AUDIO LISTEN

SURRENDER, the fifth sensational book in Shanna Handel's Mafia Billionaire Romance series, inflames the senses and leaves you shivering in pure and utter bliss!

Once again we are swept up into the Bachman universe in an epic way! I was hooked by Nicholas and Hannah’s spankilicious, scorching hot and heartmelting romance from page one. This steamy, tautly plotted page turner is teeming with panty drenching passion, drama, intrigue and soulful emotion! I love the connection between these two polar opposites—pitting one big, commanding, no-nonsense mafia man against a sassy, fiercely independent and scholarly scientist who needs to be taught a few stern lessons in obedience and respect is pure magic! The filthy hot, kinky interludes were so titillating I was physically ACHING and I rooted for this adorable duo to get their richly deserved storybook ending!

Nick was everything you covet in a big, bad mafia hitman: Strong, ruthless, ferociously protective, powerfully commanding and breathtakingly tender. I could not stop swooning over him and relished his gentle, caring side as much as his steely dominance! I adored Hannah’s character as well. While she leads a regimented, solitary lifestyle, tragedy has left a terrible chasm in her heart and in Nick’s arms she finds the acceptance, love, devotion and safety that have eluded her for so long. Furthermore, this sternly sexy, fiercely loving man brings out the naughty little girl in her, and even when he’s chastising her to the point of tears, he makes her feels cherished and coddled beyond her wildest dreams. But with a new job looming that will once again take her far, far away she has a mighty big decision to make. Stay or go? Well, if Nick has anything to say about it she will spend a lifetime over his lap AND in his strong, sheltering arms!

Hannah is a woman of many layers. She is smart as a whip and self-assured in her work but in her personal life? Not so much. Nick helps her come into her own and through his loving guidance she eventually overcomes her fear of commitment, helps her combat her impulse to flee when she feels the walls closing in, and shows her that her rightful place is within the Bachman family fold.

This author nails the d/s dynamic perfectly in this book, and I found the punishment sessions both highly erotic yet achingly emotional too. And the manner in which she weaves the Bachman men and their beauties into the fabric of her stories is seamless. I love the unique customs, rules and beautiful traditions that go hand in hand with belonging to this secret mafia society, and Ms. Handel adds a nice amount of adrenaline pumping danger and suspense into the mix to keep us on our toes. Oh and the HEA was beyond delightful!

NARRATION:
This is my first audio listen by Zachary Zaba and I am now offically hooked! This narrator’s voice is smooth as velvet with a deep, husky timbre that left me all aquiver! His depiction of Nick Bachman was pitch perfect and I love how he could morph from sensitive, passionate lover, to take charge protector to stern disciplinarian so effortlessly. His inflections really sucked me in and he truly breathed life into this deliciously dominant Mafia leader who was both tough as nails yet swooningly romantic. And HOLY HOTNESS! When he lectured Hannah through gritted teeth during their OTK sessions I felt so transported into the scene that it was almost as if I was the recipient of his strict yet loving care! I also thought he did a commendable job of portraying Hannah as well, softening his voice and intonations and really infusing this heroine with the right mixture of fire and vulnerability. I can’t wait to hear more from this talented narrator!

Hannah is a childhood friend of Adrianna's. She comes for a visit in The Village and of course needs a chaperon. Nicholas Bachman is the man for the job and enjoys every moment of it.

These two are separated for three years, time that has not erased either of them from the other. Can Nicholas show Hannah that she belongs to him forever?

Shanna Handel once again brings us a love story like no other. The Bachman's are a breed of men that exude respect, power, love and family.
