You don't know love!

I enjoyed the plot and was totally cheering for the lovers even when it was impossible. It was so refreshing to read a romance where the female lead is not in her twenties with an absolutely perfect body. Taryn was written as a flawed, real woman who chose to open herself to a new way of being in the world in her forties. I love it even when a fictional Black woman character steps into self love, pleasure and joy. The love and deep, soul touching passion in this book will make you question every relationship you've ever had or attempted cause clearly it was a failure in comparison. I enjoyed listening and have already recommended it to my friends.

Sensual love story

Although the monotone of the speaker made me feel like the book was about to be boring.. It was definitely Not! The characters were infectious... Listen to this journey of love and chance..

Great Read

I was skeptical about the book, but glad I listened to it. I loved how Etienne and Taryn got together. Kari Taryn's daughter was a spoiled brat. I liked the fact that Etienne was determined to get Taryn. Taryn was frustrating. I'm glad for true love and Etienne and Taryn found it.

Splendid romance I could see for myself. 🤭

I did not know what to expect. A friend of my suggested I read the book. She gave me no hint what it was about.

I instantly became curious about the main character when I realized she was actually going to live abroad, something I often have thought of but am too scared to act on. Then, just a couple of chapters in, we meet her handsomely beautiful, sexy, and old soul - Étienne. I think I connected with Ren’s story even more because it reminded me of a younger lover that pursued me until I gave him a chance (we had a lovely affair). So to me, the plot of this story is believable! I certainly don’t want to give anything away, but let’s just say, you will enjoy the book. Sometimes I wanted to read the book, others times I was pleased I could listen my car. Let’s just say, it’s a quick read/listen you may want to start on a Friday night.

I loved the characters, I loved the story. I was sad when I got to the end. 💕

I’m moving to France!!!

I’m moving immediately and walking off the plane looking for Ettienne! The love story and moments were so sweet and beautiful. The reason for their return love isn’t what I’d prefer but it’s still a lovely and well written story.

this book 😭😭😭

This book broke my heart and then glued it back together. Hands down the best book I've ever read and definitely the best audible book I've ever listened to! Twyla is my absolute favorite author!! Ever woman 40 plus must read this book. The narrator was pure gold. The narration along with the story is like drinking a glass of your favorite red wine. I was so moved; my next audiobook has to be on this level. This story along with the performance has upped the ante. If it isn't this wonderfully done, I don't want it. I have listened to this story at least three times since I purchased it and I swear the first time I listened I cried like a baby I was so upset. The second time I had to skip that chapter because I just couldn't put myself through it again and the third time, I was able to listen to it straight through. It's one thing when you watch a movie and you cry it's a whole different beast when you're reading a book and it brings you to tears, I mean deep sobs! it's unbelievable how great this story is you definitely have to buy it on Kindle, and you have to buy it on audible as well I swear it's worth every single penny or credit. In the world of BWWM romances where all of the heroines are 20-25 dating and marrying these aggressive alpha males who have billions of dollars this story was a breath of fresh air. It's so believable even though I myself am not 40 I am close, and I feel like I have now just entered the second phase of my life after being in a bad relationship for 14yrs. I'm ready to start living and finding a place where I am happy, so this story truly resonated with me, and I thank Twyla so much for this piece of art. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

OMG WOW!

I loved everything about this book. Reawakening of life and love well written. This book made me laugh, cry and dread. The sex scenes are steamy and does not change with age. This is the best story I’ve read or listened to in years. I listened to this story in one sitting. This would be a great movie.

Man, What A Ride!

I wasn't too happy with the book being centered around a cougar and her lover. I scuffed at this and wanted my credit back. But today, I let the book play as I made my drive from Ohio to Pennsylvania. The emotional roller-coaster that I wasn't ready for happened. This book snatched my behind up and didn't let me go. The characters were lovely. I really enjoyed this book. The narrator was very good. Her voice is so soft and alluring. This is a must-read for anyone.

This Book Is Gold!!!

OMG.... Twyla Turner just became one of my favorite ❤ authors. Thos book is a gold for me! The narration was wonderful , the story was a breath of fresh air. I fell in love with Etienne and Taryn. I have to say that I dont think I could have done it.. She was the epitome strength and grace. I would have totally punkd out. Carrie must have thought she was "the" Queen . All of the lost time over nothing. The connection and the passion was sexy AF. When she came home for a visit.... HATERS ARE GONNA HATE!!! SMH. She didn't try to push herself into anything she was not ready for and she mourned for her loss and tried to move on the best way she could. She made lifelong friends and found herself and her new home. I was in tears by the end, then, I started it over again.
