Peter has made a terrible mistake.

Cooper was fantastic and DJ gives us what we expect.
My only problem is that I wished there was some resolution involving Carver's mother and the senator. I think a follow up is needed, even if it involves other characters as MCs and this trio as supporting.

To be honest, I expected a bit more from this one. Alpha Bait had more of everything. More story, more chemistry, more time to build the relationship, more plot. This one was nice, I liked it, but we had no plot, the smut was sometimes repetitive, and the author did not give the characters the time to actually build a forever kind of relationship. I loved the characters, individually and together, but because of the way the author rushed to finish the book I felt like so much was missing. Also, I understand the fact that they're Alpha's and omega's, but... you do need to build up things. I understand k!nks, but you need to build trust. I felt like Peter was thrown into that and he just accepted anything not questions asked, which is unrealistic. It made Tex & Carver look insensitive and uncaring when in reality I dont think they truly are like that. As I said, I expected more and I'm sad this one did not deliver since I've waited for the audiobook to read it. 😔

Other books skim over the sex scenes but not DJ! Love that sex, kink, and sub/dom is front and center!!! Characters are developed nicely. I wish there was more resolution with the senator and had more justice with Peter’s sister but overall I loved this book!!! Another great one!!!

Alrighty so I was SO excited to get into this book because I liked the first one a loooot. Right off that dubious consent came in strong and a lotta other red flags.

But, it's fiction and Heart was always there to take you out of the 'fantasy'. Not something I was worried about but it's good to know if it is.

I don't know if the writing was this dry in the first book, but it was in this one and this was pretty immersion breaking for me sometimes. but most times, it'll end in a joke that'll make me bust out laughing.

Narrator is wonderful, but is definitely working as best he could with what he had. Fortunately the sex scenes (which tbh are why I'm here) really made him and the book shine. It also helped flesh out the characters more than anything else. All in all, I liked it, but perhaos not a repeater like the first!

I love me some omegaverse women werewolves smut and all but I also appreciate the ones with plot, and build up and actual consent and more importantly FEELINGS TO GROW. I liked it, the narrator did amazingly too but the story, the plot....I couldn't continue it due to lack of plot and story being told. I felt like Peter had no say at all and yes things did move so fast and tex is a type I do like irl but his attitude was not it. its like, here's Peter, my kinky plaything but thats it. not 'my forever loving mate' kind of vibes. if they took the time to get to know each other and grow into having feelings 'even smutty scenes' will be more hot but for me, I couldn't continue it becuz they didn't really show that peter had a chance to say no and didn't introduce him to their lifestyle slowly, they just put him there and peter thinking he's a slave was just accepting it without any real fears or anything. I dont know how it ends, I might give it another try in the future but so far, its too rushed for me and too quick to 'using him' so imma not continue it for now
