My kids really enjoyed listening to this and learning and listening to the Spanish being taught.

Great for beginners

I really enjoyed the audiobook. Going to get the Kindle version to help. As I am a visual person it would be helpful if this was also in a visual media with the words highlighted as they were spoken. Looking forward to volume 2.

Excellent and fun to listen to

This a very good book for children (and adults) to learn Spanish. It is a great asset to be able to speak Spanish and this will help tremendously.

Well written and executed Spanish primer...

Spanish for Preschoolers and Their Families by Claudia Barrett is, in my opinion, a well written Spanish primer for anyone trying to learn Spanish. I feel that if you are going to utilize this audiobook though, that it would be a good idea to have a super basic knowledge of Spanish already. I wouldn't recommend this for a person's very first Spanish learning book. Though parts are broken down into smaller sections and things are repeated, which is great because it reinforces words and phrases, I think this is a bit complex for a 2-3 year old. That being said, I definitely think that it's a well put together and useful book, and it was fun listening to and learning about Chacho!

Ms. Barrett and Ms. Maria did a great job narrating this audiobook. Their enunciation was good and they were easy to understand. It made learning Spanish via an audiobook nice and easy. I personally found listening on 1x speed to be a little slow and thought that 1.5x was perfect. BUT, I think for younger listeners, 1x might be perfect. Ms. Barrett does make note of the fact that people should adjust their playback speed to whatever works best for them. Pacing and tone problems

I am a parent and longtime educator. I am not sure why some education content for small children feels the need to have a robotic, over the top sweet tone, but it's completely unnecessary for little ones at best, and irritating at worst. the English translator goes way over the top with that tone and her enthusiasm feels painfully forced.
As far as content is concerned, the pacing is rather rushed, to the point where it is difficult to follow. Slowing down the speed of the recording doesn't help. It is very difficult to make effective lessons relying solely on audio, so it may be necessary to follow on the Kindle version to be able to get anything out of this lesson.
