So true!!

I love that this story was true to life about pregnancy and parenthood. It isn't all roses. Jessica did an amazing job with this story. And Joe and Emma always do a wonderful job bringing everything to life! Lots of emotions in this!I loved it!!!

Chapter Three, oh my!

If you ever find yourself in a book funk this book would be the perfect cure. I have come to appreciate a slow burn some, however, they aren’t my favorites. So this, this book right here is exactly what I was looking for. If you want a steamy, sexy read then you came to the right place. Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of feelings packed in it too. It has hate sex and making love. Opposites attract in the best way. Julia and Greyson go on an amazing journey through pregnancy and love. Learning how to balance work and life. You don’t have to do things in a particular order to find happiness. If a grumpy, alpha male is your catnip like it is mine then grab this one up. I definitely recommend this book. This was a reread for me and I enjoyed it just as much the second time around. Duet style narration. The two narrators were amazing. The perfect amount of growl.

Great Story!!

Another great installment of this series. Looking forward to the lady in the series. EW’s narration is on point, as usual. She’s the best. No spoilers and worth the credit. I have some trepidation about the North Carolina series, since the female lead is not one I know, but will give it a try.

Another amazing love story by Jessica Peterson! I love the Charleston Heat series! While this is book #3 in the series it can absolutely be read as a standalone. In Southern Gentleman we meet Greyson, a venture capitalist and Julia, an English lit professor and architectural designer in her spare time. This book has a captivating story line, interesting and well developed characters as well as enough swoon and steam to melt your Kindle or listening device. The narration by Joe Arden and Emma Wilder is phenomenal, they bring Grey and Julia to life in the most spectacular way! When Greyson and Julia meet at a job site he’s financing and she’s decorating, they fight like cats and dogs over every design detail and every penny in the budget. Their love/hate relationship quickly turns into passionate affair that surprises both of them and their fling quickly develops into so much more...

“My heart rises. Through my chest, throat. Mouth. It’s outside my body. It doesn’t belong to me anymore.”

The question now - is Grey going to be able to let go off his past to be Julia’s future?

Grey and Julia

The third installment of the series brings us Greyson and Julia. They seem like oil and water, he's stuffy and she's a bit boho. But they crave each other. So much that they immediately start fooling around in the backseat of his car, regularly. Hate f*cking is their thing.
Then, you guessed it, she becomes pregnant. It's a story of growth, compromise, forgiveness and love. I personally didn't see a 'wrong' or 'right' person, I felt they both needed to compromise and learn.
The narration was wonderful, Joe and Emma's delivery of southern Charleston accents were spot on. To top it off, Emma has to read the romance novels in an English accent - and that's perfection. Her male voice delivery of Joe's famous F*****ck kind of rivals him too.
Also we get to see Olivia and Eli's wedding! And more of Luke too!!

Loved it!

This book has so many things I enjoy in a great romance! Complex characters with loads of chemistry, a realistic and well written storyline with plenty of emotional depth, great dialogue, humor and personal growth. I loved Grey’s Alpha personality, his workaholic tendencies and his love for his family even though there are reasons why his priorities are so screwed up. I loved Julia’s support system, her priorities and her fears and insecurities though she totally overreacted in several pivotal scenes and didn’t always communicate effectively. Most of all I loved the southern setting, the yummy food descriptions, the emotional intimacy and almost everything in Southern Gentleman. I listened to the audiobook and I loved the narration performances of Joe Arden and Emma Wilder who were perfect as Grey and Julia.

Entertaining

Having read or listened to several books by Jessica Peterson, I enjoyed her style of writing and the narrators Joe Arden and Emma Wilder did justice to the story with their entertaining performance. Ms.Peterson wove a story with characters you couldn’t help but fall for.

This is Greyson and Julia’s story and I was hooked from the first chapter. I fell hard and fast for Greyson and Julia, both separately and together. The chemistry that sizzles between them is intense and I loved the banter.

Greyson is a workaholic and I loved that as there relationship progressed, Julia was able to help him get a better work/life balance that he desperately needs. There were times I laughed out loud and Greyson was totally swoon worthy when he stepped up to be involved in Julia’s pregnancy and the baby they created . It is a story of accepting the past, of letting it go and in doing so creating a wonderful future together.

By the end of the book, I was left with a smile on my face. Southern Gentleman is a little gem that ticked the boxes for me.

I’m loving this series and I have to say listening to Southern Gentleman was a wonderful experience, the narrators, Joe Arden and Emma Wilde did a fantastic job bringing this book to life.
This is Greyson and Julia’s romance and it was a story that drew me in and captivated from the first page to the last line. I fell hook, line and sinker for this couple and I wanted more.
Julia is a very special type of person and she does her utmost to show Greyson there is more to life than work and if you are prepared to try you can get a happy medium. I loved how Greyson stepped up and became involved in Julia’s pregnancy and really wanted to be part of the baby they created. I loved the chemistry and the banter this couple shared throughout this great read or listen in my case.
This book left me smiling and in a world that’s a bit crazy at the moment what more can you ask for.
Southern Gentleman touched me on so many levels and I highly recommend this gem. Great story, great characters and great narration.

Great enemies to lovers story!

Greyson and Julia's story is full of hate and so much love! These two have amazing heat and chemistry and when Julia ends up pregnant, all bets are off. These two each have a vulnerability to them. Grey is so worried about letting people down after past mistakes and Julia is alone and wants nothing but to have a family, even if it's unconventional. The story was good and made me feel so many things! Another good story in this series!

The narrators did a great job bringing this story to life!

I love the book when I read it. But this audio recording really captures so much more. Joe Arden does the smoothest Southern accent I've ever heard In an audio book. Both voice actors nail their performance. I will listen to this again and again
