Book & Audio Review

Ahhh so happy i picked this one up! Wells Ranch Book one packed a punch. So definitely wanna check your triggers before picking this one up! I loved Cecily and Austin, Aus may have been a brooding grumpy a-hole when we first met him but watching Cecily prove him wrong at every turn was so worth it. This book was also super HOTT, Aus was filthy and i loved listening to every second of it. There was a fair amount of trauma healing in this one and I enjoy a good love after divorce romance. Highly Recommend this one and the Audio Narrated by Angelina Rocca and Jack Calihan. Jack literally brought Aus’s gruff demeanor to life and it was sexy as hell!

Perfect cowboy romance

Love this! Read it if you’re missing the chestnut springs family! Female narrator is really good. Make is a bit gruff but I guess that works for the cowboy

Loved the real cattle ranch operation aspect

Not the common cowboy romance. Real humble cowboy who won’t claim the title. Ambitious woman needing a real life change away from glitz and abuse. The protection that Austin provides and the adventures along the way had me! Author paints such a beautiful picture of the Wells ranch.

Sweet but predictable

This was an easy listen. Predictable but still interesting. Male narrator sounds like Optimus Prime.

I absolutely love this audiobook

This is my 3rd time reading Alive and Wells. I can’t get enough of this book!!

This was fine

Was this story terrible? No. Was it great? No. Listen, this was good enough but there was just nothing original here and the ending was sort of anticlimactic.

I did not enjoy the narration. The male was fine when his voice didn’t go all nasally. But the female, her voice grated on me. It felt forced, like she was trying too hard to talk deep and Smokey. I just wanted her to talk normal. Her cadence felt off at times too. Both narrators kept throwing me out of the story.

Amazing!

The narration is good and I love the story. Austin Wells is grumpy and standoffish (for reasons) at first but when he falls, HE FALLS. Cecily has gone through the unimaginable (CW: domestic abuse) but she’s not afraid to take a chance on loving Austin. This book makes me giddy and I love it!

Cute, but ..

Cute but pretty formulaic for this genre. I can’t say there were too many surprises and I just felt like the story started really strong and then kind of fell flat.
