The narrators really do a fantastic job on this story and it is so fun to listen to but has fantastic and fun characters

Candice is a new author to me and I need the next book now! Azimuth and Meri's was fantastic and the plot and characters kept me hooked. Looking forward to more books by Candice.

Paranormal romance has quickly become one of my top-favorite genres! And this book was a great one! My only complaint is that there doesn’t seem to be anymore to this series and I was left wanting more! Meri is a super like-able character and she has some great chemistry with some other characters in the story!

I really liked this first book! I listened via audiobook and the narration was fabulous!
I will be waiting patiently for book two to come out on audio.

World building is great
Hea? Hfn at this point. I liked the romance aspect and bought into the chemistry.
Smut level is about 2.5/5 with I believe 2 semi detailed sex scenes.

Impulse buy that was totally worth it

Slow start, but picked up. Loved the new take on summoning. I would love to read more of her books.

Pretty fun ...

This was a really interesting demon-hunter type of read, with a likable FMC, lots of action and plenty of intrigue.

I like this author’s spin on demons and I like the world. I feel I’ve seen enough that I don’t need to read on into the series, and it was a bit slow-paced for me, but I’d explore more from this author.

3.5 stars.

Candice Bundy is a new author to me. This is the first book in the Caught Between Worlds series. I really enjoyed this book. I am very interested to see where Meri will end up. Marina Barrett and Michael Norman Johnson did a great job narrating.

Paranormal Demon Romance

Smoke and Daemons by Candice Bundy is a paranormal demon romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Marina Barrett and Michael Norman Johnson. This is the first book in the Caught Between Worlds series.

This is the first book of Candice's that I have read and it won't be my last. I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I liked that this book focused more on the daemon hunting and had the relationship between Meri and Azimuth building along the way.

The book ends on a cliffhanger which wasn't a surprise since it is the first book in the series. I can't wait for the next book to be announced.

Marina and Michael did a great job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like paranormal romances, fantasy romance, or supernatural suspense.


Audiobook Obsession Reviewer

What A Romp!

I have to say this book kept me guessing from beginning to end and had more twists than a Celtic knot. The story was unique and innovative with enough spice to keep it enthralling but not overdoing the sex. I enjoyed the narration, although keeping it to one voice may have been better in this case, as the two actors had different accents for the same characters. That is the one small flaw in an otherwise gem of an audiobook. I highly recommend to anyone that enjoys paranormal romances and urban fantasy.
