Easy to understand.

This book help simplify small business start up. Good content. I really enjoyed it. wish there was more.

General yet helpful

Just enough general information to wet my appetite. I look to be better at managing my home based business and this book did provide some great tips to point me in the direction of continued growth.

A great book for every small businesses dreamer!

Doing it right the first time is better than doing it wrong 100 times. This doesn't mean you will never make a mistake, but learning from folks that have been there and done a mistake or two, will save you countless of errors of your own! Read, Comprehend & Apply!

One of the best I've listened to so far.

I've listened to many entrepreneur books so far, and this is one of the best. it could have mentioned less about buying an existing business, however, all the information was concise and straight to the point which is uncommon in entrepreneurial books it seems.

Clean, concise, a good overview.

There’s a longer version of this same book. However, I chose to go through this one first. I’m glad I did. It really provided a tight and concise overview of small businesses as an objective topic, elaborating on major and important elements without going too deep, thus eliminating the possibility of not seeing the forest for the trees. Towards the end of the book, having gone through a book on grants called, Grant Writing for Dummies,” this book also touched briefly on grants, discussing RFP’s (requests for proposal). I was able to follow the discussion. I’ll be listening to this again, guaranteed. Well worth listening to. I’m not exactly sure why there are some lukewarm reviews. Yes, it’s short. It’s an abridged audio book. There is an almost 18 hour version of this book also for sale. Some people commented about it being too general, but it is formatted like an outline to hit on major important points and to simultaneously acclimate and introduce the reader to these principal points. I don’t understand people sometimes. I think some of these same people that leave mediocre reviews should themselves write a book and offer it for sale on Amazon and Audible, since they seem to think themselves so qualified on the topic of small businesses as to leave disparaging remarks. I’d like to call them out and challenge them to write and offer a book for sale. I’ll purchase their book. I’ll read it and see what I can glean from it. I thought the author of this book did a decent job. I thought it was worth my time. I can recommend this book without hesitation and in good conscience.

Great introduction book!!

I thought the book was a great introduction to aspiring small business owners. I especially liked the way they explain how to find the right niche for you. I thought that was an important topic because there are many people out there who have an entrepreneurial spirit but don't quite know which field they would like to delve into. I didn't like the last 10 minutes where they mention RFPs. There is so much more to the process. They should have left that topic out of the book. The book would have had a better finish. But, I still give it 5 stars overall for content.
