Good power scaling

In setups like this it's always a balancing act with the power scale and so far it's going good.

Definitely my favorite new series!!

loved this book. I love the first one but I think this one was even better. can't wait for the next one to come out.

Great story but

I feel like there are many narrators that do a much better job than Alex Parone/Lewis Alexander. I feel like dungeons, SSV, and Dao audios all suffered a loss at this choice. Jack Douglas, Evan Jordan, Christopher Boucher, and Jonathan Waters would have all worked to make it perfect. Lewis Alexander is OK, but is terrible at the flirting parts and can't sell a young mc very well. All of the passionate parts lose interest. Please consider at least diversifying the narrators for new serieses

Setup for book 3

While I always love, Bruce is riding this felt like a very long set up for book 3. I still give it five stars because of Bruce’s gift to convey images into my mind in such a fantastic way, but I hope the next book will contain a more complete story.

great follow up

I'm really enjoying this series and am eager to jump right into the 3rd book.

Better than it has any right to be!

Come, no pun intended, for the superpowered and clever hanky panky but keep reading (or in my case listening) for the interesting world of the superpowered 9 cities. Besot by endless hordes of monsters and mega-kaiju called Titans, one reformed supervillain is collecting and turning other badies (all woman because the superpower gene sits on top of Y Chromosomes and has reduced the number of men being born).

In this second outing, Miles begins to meet his match personally in other incredibly strong (and sexy) superheroes but also in his day job as now deputy director of the superhero agency with mysterious power enhancers popping up across the city.

The author does a fantastic job laying out a believable political bureaucracy and team management, villains with absurdly large but appropriately fitted to a world of super heroes, and of course sprinkled and enhanced by thoughtful and cool super powers. Oh, also reverse gender discrimination is deftly introduced and handled and our main characters are considerate even if flawed which keeps me wanting to spend my Audible credits on the next one!

Stop and start again

The only problem I heard in this recording is that the audio seems to start and stop a lot, and during those restarts, it seems the audio suddenly becomes either louder or softer.

sentar never disappoints.

narrators did a great job at bringing the characters to life on a fun superhero ride.
