it can't end like this.

So sad

This was the saddest book so far from Ivy Smoak . I sat here in actual tears at the end when the car blew up . And my anxiety was so high listening to it before hand because I knew something was going to happen , I could feel it . I hate that ending for Miller . He was wonderful and deserved so much more . My heart is broken for him and Jacob having to watch his father die like that . I was also so irritated with Brooklyn when she made Miller wait for so long to finally want to marry him . When she claimed she knew she was in love with him back in the beach house . Smh . I NEED to know who killed Miller and why since Isabella is dead . Did her father really find her and do it or was it Poppy

Heartbreakingly Beautiful

I just finished listening to this audiobook and I will just tell you right now that if I thought the book was heartbreaking, the audiobook is 10 times worse. Laurie West did such a great job with the emotions that I almost had a sobbing fit driving home from my job. I was so irritated at Brooklyn, and didn’t think she deserved Miller, but then I remembered she was only sixteen at the beginning of the story. I loved hearing how the relationship between Miller and Brooklyn evolved during the 16 years that everybody thought she was dead. Theirs was a beautiful love story that was so genuine and real. Miller is my forever book boyfriend. ❤️

I really enjoyed the book up until the trajedy. So sad! I hope she gets her revenge!

Wow! What a story!

I thought Brooklyn’s life was over after losing Matt, but Miller turned out be be the best boyfriend and husband. He gave her the life she deserved. This was my favorite of all the Empire books.

What really happened to Brooklyn Sanders-Pruit?

First of all this book has a WOW factor!!! This character had gone through such loss as a 16 yr. old girl that I would
think she should of been in therapy for years!! This is a real tear jerker but the story needed to be told to be able to bring the series full circle.. Imagine being that young losing the only family you knew and the need to be loved and find a place in life to be loved and not only nurtured but to really find someone to trust and care for her on this journey to adulthood. It seemed as though she had no-one left from Her past life that would give her what she truly needed.
Her journey took 16 years of her young life and more to face and right the wrongs that she suffered at the hands of her biological father. whom she never known.
Did this powerful man help her? crush her spirit more? Make her stronger? or is she designed to fight for happiness approval
love again.
I don't want to ruin the story because to me this is a Masterpiece that Ivy Smoak written that she got a lot of slack because some readers were only interested in her relationship with Matt! but for me it is the story we needed to get ready for the next books in the series.

Heart wrenching enjoyment

This was one of the most devastating books that Ive read in the series, and I really enjoyed it just the same. My emotions were all over the place and I wouldn’t have it any other way with Ivy’s books.
