Such an amazing parenting book!

This book was practical and encouraging to raise amazing kids! Definitely a must read for parents of kids any age!

Monica Swanson always writes as though you’re sharing coffee and conversation with her. …She is the mama mentor you’ve always wanted. She shares biblical wisdom in a relatable, timely and incredibly thoughtful way. Whether it’s a practical tip or a heavy topic to discuss with your child, she approaches them head-on and well researched. This read is easy to digest and powerful!

This book encouraged and challenged me in so many ways. I loved hearing from Monica, her husband, and her children. This is a book I will listen to on a yearly basis, as what she discusses are all things I want to keep in the forefront of my mind. Loved it!

Encouraging and applicable parenting advice that is full of grace, yet still convicting

A must read for parents discipling their kids in today's world. Monica shares her counter-cultural, biblical. and applicable parenting philosophy and advice with so much grace. Every chapter is full of amazing take-aways and ideas to implement (wherever you are in thr parenting journey).

Older Mom Mentor

Do you wish you had an older mom mentor to help you raise your kids? If so, this book felt like that. Monica has launched three boys, and still in the thick of raising another. I was especially encouraged with her training on how to teach her kids to explain the gospel, and the importance of good character. This is one of those books you read (or listen slowly) and possibly again and again over the seasons of motherhood.

Hearing from her husband and kids was a special touch, although it did feel a bit scripted 🫣

Overwhelmed with so many (good) emotions

Monica, Dave, & the boys…thank you for this treasure! Such an amazing (ha see what I did there?) book. It touched me in so many ways. I’ve been listening to Monica’s podcast for a while now but I’m so glad I gave this a listen because Monica sure does have a way with words! Beyond the content, the hope & the encouragement, I was especially amazed at the words to the dads & the input from the boys. Having an almost 2 year old boy at home myself, I was truly touched & inspired by how Monica & Dave have raised such amazing boys who have grown to love God. I just finished my first pass & I’m already planning to re-listen!

I love that Monica and her husband read this book with advice (and encouragement) for both parents! Her boys also shared their thoughts at the end of the chapters. I really liked her ideas on "screen time." The values and character building ideas were helpful. I also appreciated the Christian perspective. Because of "Raising Amazing", we have already had some great conversations with our boys. We have five young boys. I love having a mom model about ten years ahead of me! Thank you, Monica!
