Acerca de esta escucha
Gifted children are as special as any other child. The difference is how they progress faster and need more challenges in their life. Most parents do not have the knowledge of what to do to help their gifted child excel to their fullest potential. We want our kids to be kids, but what we also want for them is to be the best that they can be while growing up as a child.
In this audiobook, we have compiled all of the necessary skills and information for you as the parent to help your child succeed in life without the child getting bored and losing focus. There is a fine line to raising gifted children, that is why we have published this audiobook. Every child, especially gifted ones need to grow and learn at their own pace. We show you how to let your child loose to gain such knowledge and still have control over their childhood until they become independently on their own.

Historia
Over her decades as a clinical psychologist, Dr. Mona Delahooke has routinely counseled distraught parents who struggle to manage their children’s challenging, sometimes oppositional behaviors. These families are understandably focused on correcting or improving a child’s lack of compliance, emotional outbursts, tantrums, and other “out of control” behavior. But, as she has shared with these families, a perspective shift is needed. Behavior, no matter how challenging, is not the problem but a symptom; a clue about what is happening in a child’s unique physiologic makeup.

Dr. Ross Greene, a distinguished clinician and pioneer in the treatment of kids with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges, has worked with thousands of explosive children, and he has good news: these kids aren't attentionseeking, manipulative, or unmotivated, and their parents aren't passive, permissive disciplinarians. Rather, explosive kids are lacking some crucial skills in the domains of flexibility/adaptability, frustration tolerance, and problem solving, and they require a different approach.

Historia
In Free to Learn, developmental psychologist Peter Gray argues that our children, if free to pursue their own interests through play, will not only learn all they need to know but will do so with energy and passion. Children come into this world burning to learn, equipped with the curiosity, playfulness, and sociability to direct their own education. Yet we have squelched such instincts in a school model originally developed to indoctrinate, not to promote intellectual growth.

The high-achieving students she talks with every day are more accomplished, better educated, and more privileged than ever before. They're also more stressed, unhappier, and struggling with anxiety, depression, and burnout at younger and younger ages - "we're like pretty packages with nothing inside," said one young teen.

The metaverse is going to change lives. Are you jumping in? It has been only a couple of months since the metaverse was announced. Many gurus are already trying to find the best investment opportunities in this market. They are suggesting people throw their life savings at overpriced penny stocks and call themselves “visionaries". It is pretty sad to watch, mainly because the FOMO is real, and many Joes are falling for this trap. However, the reality is that there is no way to make it if you do not understand what you are investing in.

Helpful to teach parents about kids
I have not listened the whole book yet, but what I have listened until now is very interesting and it helps you know more about the brain and it helps you face your kids tantrums and to recognize if it's real or just doing like that because they want something that you don't want to give them.

Help Your Gifted Child
This is one of the best books I’ve ever listened on parenting. The book helps you understand why your child says and does certain things by helping you understand how their brain works during certain age periods. I often find myself going back and rereading certain chapters for help and guidance and it helps me every time.

This is one of my favorite parenting books
This is one of my favorite parenting books. I used to get so frustrated with my boys because I thought that they were constantly choosing to be irrational but this book helped me to what's really going on in their brains and how they honestly cannot always control their behavior. I also learned how I can help them from going into chaos and how to bring them back when they were already in chaos.

Love this book!
The book offers tremendous knowledge of the science of a child’s brain. At times it was a bit hard to stick to it. I think if it followed a more age related format like from infancy up it may have been easier to follow. Instead it jumps all over from different age groups. The skills are useful for everyday life. Nothing out of the ordinary, nothing super difficult to use. It just takes the time to implement the skills and willingness to know it won’t be overnight changes.
