Too slow, rather boring...something else I can't quite put my finger on. The narrator was ok if he wasn't doing a woman's voice. Especially Rose's voice; just awful.

I have succeeded in enjoying all 5 audiobooks by this author. I only wish there were more. They are intense and have twists and turns with great characters and narration.

I’ve recently started listening to Wood’s ooks and can’t help but notice his trend for portraying people of color as bad characters and Caucasian’s as the good guy. I might have enjoyed this and all of his other books more if he had shone some diversity of opinion. In these controversial times, thinking outside the typical society box is paramount to successful authors. Open your mind AND your eyes!

The narrator, John McLain, breathe life and color into the characters.

I enjoyed the story development as the detectives sleuthed down the murderer only to discover he was a double agent. The assistant DA's further sleuthing opened an interesting can of worms to navigate. I recommend this story for the young adult reader.

The DA battles against the forces of evil again. Go the states interests trump those of the individual? A thoroughly enjoyable story by a skilled author.
