In the depth of a cruel High Lonesome winter comes a cryptic message for Smoke Jensen. The letter tells of skullduggery by gold barons, railroad magnates, and Chinese tongs in San Francisco. Power of the Mountain Man (Smoke)
This is another good book about Smoke. This book has a different feel about it. But is as good as any other one. Smoke goes to help lewis Lamont. There in a war with Cyrus who wants to control everything. He tries to take some of lewis Lamont holdings. Smoke is like a one man army. Plus he has lewis by his side. There is a lot of gun fighting. starting out Cyrus sends his guys after Smoke. Then Smoke turns it on them and Cyrus is in the run. Smoke has plenty of tricks to win the war. This is a movie in your mind style of book with several narrators. They do a good job bringing it to life. If my review is any help will you please click on the helpful link below. Thank you.
