He's handsome...
Decent book, good narration, interesting story. The biggest issue is the main character talking about how handsome he is every 30 minutes - hour. It isn't needed for the story and gets annoying fast.

Solid story continues in book 2
I've enjoyed both books in the series so far. Solid story line, interesting baseline into the rpg world, excellent character development. Lots of good stuff and the handling of higher level characters against the MC is plausible and entertaining. I will continue the series at some point, probably when book 4 becomes available as stories are a bit short.

MC acts like preteen and everything works out perfectly for him.
I was hoping book two was better than book one but no still just as bad. Main character seems to have mind set of a preteen idea of a hero. Still overly worried about homosexual males when nothing other than his own paranoia. And no matter what everything works out perfect for him guess it works out to be a conconvicted criminal.

Fat-phobic author sucks
There is WAY too much focus on physical appearance, with a clear disgust of heavier individuals in the book. There is also possible homophobic comments. Otherwise, it was a good read. I will definitely NOT be continuing the series!
