As many said.
If you love the anime series you'll love the book. Sure it plays out pretty much the same way as in the anime, but the details and motivations from characters is sometimes left out of animation for time.
People new to the series may find the events drawn out if you are coming to it fresh. Like how a five-minute fight can turn into 20 minutes on screen with dialogue.

One of the best volumes in a great series
Ainz, Supreme Ruler of the Great Tomb of Nazarik, must tackle his greatest challenges to date in this third volume of Overlord. Dry comedy, plenty of action, and even notes of genuine drama abound in one of the best Isekai series. Very highly recommended for fans of fantasy and RPGs. This series really is the gold standard for Japanese RPG adventures. Worth your time.

Love it
Found it first by the Anime and really enjoyed it and when I saw that they had it on audible I gave it a try and glad I did. About to start book 4 and enjoy learning more about the world.
I have enjoyed the performance of the person reading it to, really gets into the character and feels just like the anime how the characters act.

good series
I love this series, I finished all three of the currently available audiobooks, I have all of the currently available physical copies but the audio book just brings it to life especially with the English voice actor reading it. I can't wait for volume 4 to go on pre-order so I can go ahead and order it. If you're looking for an audiobook that sounds like the anime this is for you.

epically accurate!
I've listened to three books, and I love the anime series. this series is epically accurate. I truly appreciate having a series that matches and goes beyond the anime, and isn't boring or a giant lead on. thank you to the writer for these books.
