Should not be any talking
Nobody wants to have somebody talking when they expect to hear only natural sounds The sounds are fine, unfortunately there does not seem to be any way to loop a chapter in the Audible online player. This means a jarring interruption every hour.
Chapter 1 is the spoken introduction. Chapter 2 is that full-throated wide spectrum noise we expect from the ocean. Chapter 3 is quieter sounds of a small bay. Chapter 3 is well, it sounds like water sloshing in a large tub. Perhaps it is by design that the sounds are less interesting with each progressive chapter.

Realistic, soothing ocean waves
I listened to many ocean sound recordings before choosing this one. Most of the others were too loud (crashing waves) or had other nature sounds mixed in. Some sounded scratchy. This one is a very high quality recording of the sounds of the ocean. There are different wave sounds, but all are calming and soothing. I can listen to it while meditating or while reading. Excellent.

TOO LOUD
This is supposed to be calming? What's with the super loud, obnoxious voice -over at the beginning and end? If I can't fall asleep to it (and stay asleep) it's not relaxing.
