The narration was well done, The characters were excellently portrayed.

Fun

Not your typical end of days story, No zombies no deadly human hoards. A group of friends are stuck in the northern outreaches of Canada and walking out is not an option. That's all I want to give away. Enjoy

I don't know what took me so long to read this book! It was excellent! Great storyline, relatable characters; all that's missing is a sequel!

Believable story and great narrator

Good story line and it kept my interest. I love survival stories and this one fit the bill.,

The Golden Rule of Safety

The golden rule of safety is that the fewer people around you, the safer you are. This holds true in Northern Lights.

Any fan of My Side of the Mountain or The Hatchet will enjoy this book as much as I did.

The fact that the main character would agree to go on a fishing trip with a certain person in their group (No Spoilers) almost cost the book a star from me but as the story progresses I feel that he needed this trip in order to heal.

His healing combined with the circumstances the group faces prepares him for what lies ahead. Surviving is one thing, surviving together is another.

I really enjoyed this post apoc book that doesn't rely on zombies or war or even violence for that matter. Well done.

I finished this book in 3 days. couldn't put it down. wished it was longer.

Excellent Short Prepper Story

No zombies!! Instead, this books is an enjoyable read/listen that will keep you enthralled. The main character, Tom, is a prepper, someone who prepares for the end of the world as we know it.

Would you know how to survive if there was no electricity, you were stranded, and had to live off the land? This book is not a how to book, but the author does share many skills and knowledge necessary to survive. It certainly makes you think about your own preparedness. Add in a little romance, and you've got a very enjoyable story.

I've listened to a few books narrated by Kevin Pierce, and highly recommend him.
