For the ad libs alone, this Audible version is worth Everything. I come from the days where Nikki Giovanni read to schoolchildren, and might record an album with tracks; this reading was more experienced as a salon, recorded, or the “making of” documentary’s behind-the-scenes, segments. It was everything... and read aloud in her Black Woman Creators’, voice. Loved every bit!

A Love Letter in the form of Poems
This book was a love letter to many parts of her life in poetry form. It felt so intimate and I greatly appreciated the times where she explained the origins of the poems. Hearing her own poems in her voice was surreal and really made the experience greater.
