Johnson keeps us riveted to these people and how their lives will unfold. There’s twists and subterfuge. Love and heartache. Horror and passion. Descriptions to die for. Highly recommend.

Beautifully Told
I loved this book and the character development. I was sometimes frustrated by the naivety of Frieda and Tulip, but they didn’t know what they didn’t know or experience. So, that was just my own eyes seeing things in perspective that they could not. The last two chapters still have me in an emotional chokehold. Oh my - my heart!
