About the Creator
About the Performer
Steven Boyer recently starred as Dwayne Reed, lead investigator and former cop, who joins the defense team in NBC’s comedy Trial and Error. Boyer was nominated for a Tony Award for the Broadway run of Hand to God. Time Out NY named Boyer as "one of the Future Legends of the NY Theatre." He also earned an OBIE Award and a Lucille Lortel Award for his work in Hand to God at The Ensemble Studio Theatre and MCC. Most recently Steven starred in Halley Feiffer’s Moscow x6 at MCC. He has also appeared in Time and the Conways with Roundabout Theatre, alongside John Lithgow in King Lear at The Public Theatre, as John Hinckley Jr. in Stephen Sondheim’s Assassins with the Encores Series, as well as in MTC’sThe Explorer’s Club and Second Stage’s production of Modern Terrorism. He also played the title role of Trevor in Nick Jones’ darkly funny Trevor, performed with Lesser America. In addition to his work in the theater, Boyer has appeared in Steven Spielberg’s Bridge of Spies and Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street. He can be seen in the feature, Hustlers starring Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu.
Boyer recurred on the NBC series Chicago Fire as Assistant Fire Commissioner Jerry Gorsch and has appeared in such beloved TV series as The Blacklist, Orange is the New Black, High Maintenance, The Good Wife, The Crazy Ones, Louie, Mom, Person of Interest, Law & Order, and Ed. He starred in and produced The Share, an independent web sitcom pilot from Emily Chadick Weiss. He is a graduate of The Juilliard School and is also a member of Ensemble Studio Theatre. Boyer lives in South Slope, Brooklyn.

Katie Lee Hill is frequently seen as Willow on NBC’s New Amsterdam. Other television credits include Tales of the City and Succession. She first met Leah Nanako Winkler doing the NY premiere of Winkler’s play Two Mile Hollow at The Women’s Project. Other theater includes KPOP off-Broadway and various with the Vineyard Theatre, New York Theatre Workshop, New York Stage and Film, Sundance, Ars Nova, Ma-Yi, Pan Asian Rep, Juilliard, Williamstown Theatre Festival and more. She’s a singer and songwriter for the Americana rock band baby chemist and sings with the indie rock band Sky-Pony.

Eli Gelb is an actor from New York City. Eli’s stage credits include Josh Harmon’s Skintight (Roundabout Theatre Company, Geffen Playhouse), The Twenty-seventh Man (The Old Globe), Rajiv Joseph’s The North Pool (Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park). Eli’s screen credits include The Squid and the Whale, Holy Rollers, The Newsroom (HBO), Not Fade Away (David Chase), Indignation (James Schamus). Eli is a proud member of Ensemble Studio Theatre.
About the Performer
Anna O'Donoghue is a New York-based actor, writer, and dramaturg who has performed on, off-, and off-off Broadway. She was nominated for a Helen Hayes Award for her work in the world premiere of I Wanna F*cking Tear You Apart at the Studio Theater in DC, and has appeared at other regional theaters around the country. A lover of new work, Anna has participated in copious readings and workshops with new play development organizations, and is the Reading Committee Chair for Arts in the Armed Forces’ Bridge Award. Film credits include AIl The Little Things We Kill; Adult Ed; Funny Bunny; Compulsive Love; Bait; and Crickets. Anna is the literary manager of Lesser America, a company member of Morgan Gould & Friends, and a graduate of the Juilliard School.

A great listen; creepy and thought-provoking!
Whoa, this was not what I expected, but was so so good! A fascinating story based on a True Crime I'd never heard of, I listened to this in two long chunks (though it's broken up by chapters for shorter listening, too). Made me wish there was a bookmark or highlight feature in Audible because so many parts -- about how we label people, about the difference between raw talent and privilege, etc., - were so interesting and made be go "huh!" aloud while listening.
But it was also just an entertaining and often funny story about what it's like to be a real loser in high school, the kind people are scared of. Thought the writing was so smart, and the performances great! Now I wanna see the movie or TV show based off of it, haha.

pretty good
This was short, but definitely got my attention. I loved the story line and the different characters. So neat how the background noise kept changing. It kept it interesting to say the least. Not boring at all! Got this for free and I'm impressed.

Creepy and engrossing
This is a wonderful old-school radio drama in the best way. Leah has taken a spine-tingly creepy story and adapted it for the myriad opportunities and strengths of audio storytelling. Steven Boyer’s performance is just incredible. If you’re a fan of true crime and/or psychological mysteries that investigate the dynamics of toxic masculinity (oof, or if you just want a genuinely fun and creepy yarn!) you need to get this.

Something Different
This isn’t a topic I’d normally select but with the Pandemic and Shelter in Place decided to do different. Glad I did. It’s different, eerie, and walks the lines of bullying and mental illness. The performances were top notch and really take this work to a new level. Try it!

It’s just...bizarre
