Love the series, narration is so so
I love this series but the narrator leaves something to be desired. Juan Claude and Asher are French. The narrator's accents for them sound southern and her accents for the other characters all sound the same. If she had been the initial narrator I would say she did an amazing job because I wouldn't have anyone else to compare her to but Kimberly Alexis brings the total package to these books.

Anita gets in her own way
Book is almost overly descriptive to the point of slowing the actual action/story down. Anita also gets on my nerves almost the entirety of the book. Like, non functioning arm? Argue with the person that could heal it. It’s like, GIRL. Stfu and get with the supernatural program. Annoying.

Really good story
I love this story. I read it several times. This is the first time listening to the audio of it. The narrator was really good. She gave every character their own voice. It was not done like other books where they simply read the story she put heart into it. I have started the next book and this narrator is not the one doing the next few stories and the narrator is not nearly as good. I hate to say it but it is true. Kimberly Alexis has the voice for Anita Blake and she is damn good at her job.

It’s ridiculous and I LOVE IT!
Always entertaining. I keep enjoying this series no matter how ridiculous it may get.
Also Kimberly Alexis is an excellent narrator and I wish she would narrate more books!
