Lindsey is getting into her groove as the director of the Briar Creek Public Library when a New York editor visits town, creating quite a buzz. Lindsey's friend Beth wants to sell the editor her children's book, but Beth's boyfriend, a famous author, gets in the way. When they go to confront him, he's found murdered - and Beth is the prime suspect. Lindsey has to act fast - before they throw the book at the wrong person.

Fast becoming my favorite cozy series.
With each new release Darci Hannah just gets better and better.
The charming setting, quirky small town characters, great recipes and a compelling murder made me look forward to my morning commute and after work dog walks (This is when I usually listen to audio books).
Unlike other cozy mysteries Darci Hannah's protagonists (all in their early 30's) act their age and not like a geriatric ward . There is even a hint of sex. .I love the relationship between Lindsey and Rory, And I am so Glad Kennedy has decided to split her time between Beacon Harbor and Manhattan.!
Can't wait for the next installment!

Interesting plot line
Good book overall. Lots of quirky and fun characters. Some parts were a bit drawn out but others moved quickly. I am motivated to read another in the series.

Characters recipe

Intriguing & wholesome storytelling❣️

Best one yet
This one although there was a sad murder, was hilarious at times especially with the goat afloat on a boat! I admit I want to write down all Lindsey’s recipes and enjoy her bakery in a lighthouse, however I will have to savor them while listening.

Great story
Great cozy mystery. Both the author and the narrator kept me invested from the first chapter. With a number of twists and turns and a result I didn’t see coming, I was hooked.

a most enjoyable story that kept you guessing on who done it?
I really like this story because it kept you guessing who done it and why and the people in it were enjoyable to listen to and I like the fact that they had a large dog and a goat and a very happy ending!
