Along for the ride

From Mr. Nobody to Something in the Water, it’s clear that Catherine enjoys an unhinged lead character. As long as you don’t try too hard to relate to the main character, you’ll probably have a fun experience. Otherwise you’ll be distracted by all the questionable choices they make... Enjoy the wild ride!

Where's her editor?

As with her first book, she needs to tighten up her work. Too drawn out, especially the first half. Frustrating to listen to. If I had been reading this myself, I would have been flipping pages like mad.

Excellent twister

This book is worth a credit. Developed characters, small details that come around toward the end great twists and turns highly recommended.

Four and a half stars !

I loved this book and I would have given it 5 stars but the ending was a bit anticlimactic.
The performance was spot on - which surprises me because authors are not typically great performers. Definitely worth your points.

Capitvating

This story is captivating and suspenseful to the very end. I enjoyed listening to this story very much. I highly recommend it. I will certainly seek out her other books.

Liked “Disappearing Act” better by this author

Very slow moving story… when the reveal happened, I almost felt like I just didn’t care anymore.

Still gave it 4 stars for being an unusual story;
not sure how UK healthcare differs in real life… but this would be a far fetched premise in the US.

I love her as an author and I love her when she’s reading her stories. Excellent all around!

Perfect winter thriller!

I loved Catherine Steadman’s other book, “Something in the Water.” This book did not disappoint! Catherine narrates her books and she does an outstanding job! I really enjoyed the small, woodsy, English setting and the psychology themes.
