Spellbinding!

Couldn’t stop listening. I loved the storyline, the detailed characters, the well thought-through minutiae that made this all so very realistic!!

Worth the credit

A good story - full of information on neuroscience and two stories for the price of one. However, it didn’t have the suspenseful “pace” of “Something in the Water,” and seemed to inch forward much of the time. There were several times along the way to allowing the way that I contemplated returning the book, the momentum or the “hook” or whatever one calls it finally - FINALLY - got its way with me, and I finally meshed with the story. Perhaps it’s when the pace eventually picked up many hours after the story’s beginning? I recommend the story with a caveat: you’ll have to have patience the first few hours, but know that Catherine Steadman has you by the hand and is leading you along a creative story that will prove original and highly entertaining!

Just WOW

I felt that every page was noteworthy, no prolonged irrelevant back story. I do not think that I have found a book so compelling, really really did not want to put it down. Every chapter had substance and relevance. Catherine Steadman is a master of suspense, not just in the plot but the way she writes it. I felt this in her first book too , "Something in the Water" tho I was not so positive about the ending of it, I felt it was a bit confused. Both books would make great movies, hope Reece Witherspoon's production company picks them up. These and Ruth Ware's books.

Complex and twisty

This had me guessing until the very end. It’s not a straightforward mystery like many in this genre, this is different and well worth the credit.

OMG! SO GOOD

This story sucks you in and keeps you guessing. It's a deep dive into the human mind. Full of suspense and beautifully detailed. Stedman does it again. Absolutely brilliant.

Original but not plausible.

Narrator was pleasant and believable. Easy to listn to. Reveal was too farfetched and a letdown.

Kept my attention

Loved this book and the story line! I couldn’t anticipate the next twist or turn like I had assumed I was at the time. Very entertaining!

The author keeps you very interested and the story is great. The author is the speaker for the story and she does it very well.

Mr Nobody does not disappoint! The story was engaging, surprising and deliciously frightening! Not only is she an amazing and talented author but her narration is exquisite! I could listen to her all day! 5 stars!

A twist I didn't see coming

I loved the twists and turns in this story - just when I thought I knew what happened, she turns it in a different direction. Lots of suspense building and nervous tension in this psychological thriller. Loved the theme in the book - who we are and who we want to be aren't always the same. . . . Steadman is a brilliant author and narrator. Am looking forward to her next book and narration.
