About a very sick couple

This couple lives in in upscale community along with their two teenage children. While still in love, or lust, they have become bored with their marriage but have fallen upon a very sick strategy to bring back the spark – murder of young women. Their activities have a bigger personal impact on the family than they imagined. This story jumps around a bit from the meeting of the couple on an airplane to present day, with killings interspersed throughout. It is very entertaining and interesting even if gruesome. The writer did a good job. The narrator was good, except for his female voices. He was quite weak there. His voice for the husband, who is telling the story, is excellent - great tones and understanding of the character. I had very mixed feeling for the husband.

After I finished I could not stop thinking about the plot and the characters. The story grabbed me and did not let go. The characters were well defined. They evoked strong emotions as I listened – some positive and some very negative. The last sentence of the book was a stunner – made me wonder if there is a sequel.

Just ok

First off, I liked the the narrator, however when he did the women’s voices it was awful. Would have been nicer to have a male and female narrator.

The ending is disappointing. It just ends so quickly, would have been nice if there was more to it.

Was interesting to have a book when it’s the murders point of view though. Wasn’t my cup of tea but I still finished the whole book. Was good but got boring at times.

Good read if you’re a beginner thrillers.

I liked the overall plot and personally was not surprised by it. The plot doesn’t reveal itself until about page 300, which is a long build but still worth getting there…sh*t hits the fan quickly and unexpectedly. Very fast paced ending which wasn’t a common theme throughout the book. I would reccomend this book to a beginner to the thriller genre. I enjoyed the read.

Kinda fun

Kinda fun, definitely kept my interest. The ending was abrupt, felt rushed , like just tied it up in the last 30 minutes.

The narration was perfection.

Great thriller

This book kept my interest and had unexpected twists. Good narrator too, I liked how he did the different voices.

Entertaining, great narration

Yeah, that pretty much sums up my opinion of the book. Good entertainment ( but very predictable, I guessed every plot twist and revelation way in advance). Great narrator !

A nice twist to the genre

Though I was able to unravel most of the plot, I appreciated the new take on this somewhat overdone genre. The characters were interesting and in my opinion not at all likeable but that's what kept me engaged in the plot. Excellent writing, excellent performance.

What in the heck did I just listen to!!!???? An absolutely awesome book, that's what!!! Wow! Have i ever read anything else like it? Maybe but this is rare goodness!!! The kind of book you will be thinking about for a good long while. The kind of book that you want to listen to all over again just so you can view it in a different way, knowing what you know. 😈😈😈

Get it!!! But pencil in a 10 hour block of time in your calendar because you aren't going to want to stop listening!

Narrator: David Pittu is PERFECT for this book. I love when i listen to a book and it's almost like they wrote it with this particular narrator in mind. 😉

Meh

Narrator was great, and the plot was creative, but really far fetched. There were also a lot of loose ends at the end of the book.
