His favorite is a young kid named Mäggerli. One day Moni comes across a serious situation where he must keep a deceitful secret in order to protect Mäggerli from being killed. This delightful short story teaches children that to trust God and do right is always better than being deceitful.

He does not get better until he is reunited with his mother and all at once life for Toni and Elsbeth takes a positive turn thanks to the help of another patient in the sanitarium.

Why are there 22 chapters?
Yeah the book is fine, but there are 5 chapters in the actual, physical book, but for whatever reason, the chapters are split up into 22 different chapters. At the beginning of chapter 5, the narrator literally reads, “Chapter 2:” Probably fix this I don’t know
