Very Enjoyable
I really enjoyed this book. When you get into the background of the characters you learn they have some real issues. Draven's father was a piece of work. In our day and time he could have become a serial killer. Emily had a good father, but he was restrictive beyond extreme. The story tells of how they are able to cop and make changes, or do they?
I would listen to this again.

Love and a brooding hero
Master of Desire by Kinley MacGregor is a captivating historical romance filled with passion, witty banter, and well-developed characters. The story follows Lady Emily and Draven, a hardened knight with a tragic past, who are brought together when Draven is tasked with being her guardian. From the start, you can tell the attraction and chemistry between the two will be high. Draven’s is solely focused on keeping his word to not touch Emily out of lust or anger. He is determined to keep that promise by pushing her away. This dynamic creates plenty of tension, as Emily desires real romance, not just a physical relationship.
MacGregor does a fantastic job balancing romance with humor and intrigue, making this an enjoyable read. The medieval setting is well-crafted, and the dialogue feels authentic without being overly heavy. Draven is the perfect brooding hero, and Emily’s warmth and persistence make her a strong, likable heroine.
The reason I’m giving this four stars instead of five is that parts of the story felt a bit predictable, and I wished for a bit more depth in some of the secondary characters. That said, the writing is engaging, and the audiobook enhances the storytelling. He is one of my favorites!
