Detective and the Mafia Copo

Widower And a miscarriage at 1 crazy night with a mafia capo. A An ex wife there is a druggie use auto body for drugs and then made you as as she's walking out the door says your son is not your blood which is the only thing you've ever actually wanted was a son of your own it's the right of passage as a capo to name your child after your grandfather which you did thinking he was your son never did you ever think that you would fall in love with a detective because that's totally against the mafia world

Mafia book with a kick-ass female lead!!

this book was fantastic from cover to cover it had everything it had a strong female lead which is very refreshing the hero of the story was expertly done the writing was excellent this storyline was really good and I'm so excited to read the second book!!

Aiden Snow is definitely the only one to be able to narrate these Italian men. Which makes this audio perfect in every way.

This book was everything. It was the character of a woman you fantasize being and the character of a man you fantasize about. Ms. Sarah is so good at keeping you a step ahead of the story but still have you hanging on to see what's around the next corner. Mr. Aiden this man is hands down the BEST actor in the audible books game! AND the steamy scenes.. forget about it!

This one was SOO GOOD from beginning, middle till the end, This one has you smiling, shocked, laughing your but off to shocked again. A MUST READ!

Great Series

Isn't it funny how different people's thoughts can be on something? This book made it more noticeable to me . I read all the reviews and a lot of people thought this was better then book one.
I like book one better but love this one also .
The problem with this one for me is " " " Her " Gabrielle the cop the know it all . She got on my nerves with her bossiness and thinking she was special because she was a cop . Didn't want to listen and so on. And that put him in danger.

Now Luca 😜 whew wee I want one of him ! Him speaking Italian with that voice whew now that really got my blood pumping ! And he was so sweet so manly, so protective. How come they don't make men like this in real life ? I could be a kept women if I had a man like him. 😁

So other then a few times wanting to throat punch her it was a great book. And well worth a credit.

A FANTASTIC ACTION-PACKED MAFIA ROMANCE

Sarah Castille's back with her second book about Sin City's Italian Mafia family and this time it's Nico's capo Luca who finds love in the least likely place. In book 1 Luca had put himself in front of a bullet meant for Nico and, in this book, the handsome charismatic sexy Italian Playboy is recovering well in hospital with the help of some very willing nurses. Luca had been betrayed by a woman before so now he's strictly a 'one and done' kinda guy - never letting his walls down and, because of his looks and abundant charm, he's never had any problems. Until a blonde angel is wheeled in to share his hospital room - her looks had him intrigued.. but it was her feisty attitude that made her unforgettable. And, when she walked into his Restaurant a few weeks later, Luca knew he had to have her.. but this time once just isn't going to be enough for this crime boss.

And Gabrielle is learning that Italian men aren't like other men.. or is that just Luca? Luca and Gabrielle initially don't realize that they are lovers whose loyalties lie on opposite sides of the Law and that they're hunting the same enemy. But, the more time they spend together, the more the clues slowly click into place.. until eventually there's no denying that by being together Police protocols and Mafia laws are getting broken. However, they are both determined to take Garcia down - no matter the cost.. and to make their relationship work - no matter what sacrifices have to be made.. and there will be sacrifices.

Sacrifices, Mafia ultimatums, a delusional dangerous enemy, a close and loving Italian family including Luca's six yr old son, shocking revelations and a brutal beating have all been well thought out, expertly described and perfectly placed in between the covers of this wonderfully intense forbidden love story. And, with each carefully positioned pitfall, it's purpose is to chill, to thrill, to excite, to shock, to incite havoc and to trip the captivated listener up as you slowly make your way to the finish line.

They were complex likeable characters and this particular love match was forged from the ashes of past relationships, adversity, bloodshed, wise-guy angst, a bitter betrayal and relationship based drama. There was a bit of humor, lots of sex, character development, sweet sentiments - whether they were heated passion-filled romantic words, sweet declarations of love or the uncertain promises of better tomorrows - they all sounded wonderful in Italian. A captivating stand-alone dual (and ocassionally triple) POV second book in the series that gave me butterflies, made me drool, made me smile, made me tense and gave me goosebumps as I eagerly watched the hero and heroine innocently meet and hopelessly fall in love despite so many obstacles working against them. Sarah Castille's book is good.. but the audio version was awesome thanks to the phenomenal voice of Aidan Snow whose smooth sexy Italian phrases left me swooning.

Worth a credit? YES absolutely I couldn't listen to it fast enough yet didn't want it to end and it made me want to listen to Nico's book again.
