Great book!

Enjoyed the story and narrators! First time author for me. I will be getting more books from this author!

Great narrators for a past-paced story

This is my first time diving into an Eva Winners story. Overall, Luciano was enjoyable. The premise held me captivated but I found some things lacking. I don’t know if it’s because I’m not familiar with her writing or what but regardless I did like the characters chemistry. The narrators did a great job bringing the characters to life.

Heavy drama, light action, but a good experience

This dealt with some pretty dark material, but still didn't feel very dark. For most of the book these subjects (trafficking, violence, etc.) was discussed but not actually scene, until pretty close to the end when the action kicked in. This was a heavy drama/moderately angsty but I really loved the narration (yay for duet! ) and even though there were a few plot holes I felt weren't really addressed, the narration more than made up for it and it. I felt like the story was a little out of balance between the drama and action scenes, but that's likely just my preference. It's a pretty long book so the first bit felt really long, but I found the side characters really interesting and would probably do the follow up books for that alone. I think my favourite part of the story was the MC's father and how he was the voice of reason and the gentleness & patience to everyone else's anger.

Book 1 in the Series

This was an Audio Listen for me. As a lover of dark romance, and an avid audio reviewer- This narration was top notch. Duet narration takes the listen to the next level, helping you feel IN the storyline.
It was also my first book I've read by Eva Winners.
This is Book 1 in the Belles & Mobsters series. Although it was Book 1 and from what I can tell, the starting point in Eva Winner's books, I felt like we jumped ahead right away. Not that we are missing any information because we are kept informed - but we missed how the couple met and got together, in real time. That itself would have been a great novella. Or used as a prequel.

Once we got into the story, it definitely delivered for mafia, dark romance lovers.
I love how the story winds itself in multiple layers. Alpha hero, strong heroine.

Highly recommend and I look forward to the other books in the series!

Definitely one of the best books I’ve listen to! Both of the readers did an amazing job! A very well written story. Can’t wait for the next one.

Fantastic story w/ flawless DUET narration

This is a true duet narrated audiobook - the man speaks all male lines and female speaks all female lines. What a difference this makes!

The story is engaging and the writing is technically solid.
