A vampire bit me while we were making out. Now, I'm being forced to marry him.
Okay, not forced.
I just don't have any other options.
My family is being targeted by a dangerous wolf pack, so we turned to our king for help. But he happens to be the guy I kissed.
He agrees to keep us safe—for the small price of my hand in marriage. Or mating.
Whatever you want to call it, he demands my future.
The alternative is embracing a group of cruel wolf shifters, so I put my hand in his and say the magical equivalent of, "I do."
I'm giving up my freedom for the safety of my family…but I won't fall in love with him.
Not even maybe.
Because mating sucks, but love?
It bites.
*This is a spicy enemies-to-lovers romance with a happily ever after.

I found it funny though and while I wouldn’t consider this a RomCom, there was a lot of bickering that amused me.
🧜🏻♀️ Sirens.
🍷 Vampires.
🧜🏻♀️ V!rg!n heroine.
🍷 Magic.
🧜🏻♀️ F0rced mâte bonds.
🍷 Found family.
🧜🏻♀️ “Touch her and d!3” vibes.
🍷 Tit for tat.
🧜🏻♀️ Fake relationship.
🍷 Royals & their politics.
🧜🏻♀️ Lots of banter.
Overall:
The writing could be a bit stronger (excessive usage of a singular phrase in one scene, and it ended very abruptly), but this ultimately has all the makings of a great read.
Would be open to reading more from this author, based on this first experience.

This is my first book by this author. I really enjoyed the story with the different characters and the dynamics. In this first book, we have Blair, who is a siren, and Damian, who is a vampire king. I really enjoyed the banter between them. It was a really cute, fast-paced story.
The narrators did a great job bringing them to life.
cute

Loved it! The narrators did a good job.
Blaire is a siren who at a supernatural club meets Damian who is a vampire he lets her feed on him and he ends up biting her and finds out she is his blood mate. Blaire and her sisters are on the run as a leader of a wolf pack wants to claim one of her sisters. At one point Damian is looking for her and she ends up at his compound seeking refuge for her sisters from the wolves. Damian tries to convince her to be his mate. I found this to be cute, funny and hot. I love how Blaire is feisty and mouthy and won't cave to Damian no matter that he is a vampire king and everyone else bows to him. Love how protective Damian is to not only his clan but others to especially Blaire and also how possessive he is💖💖💖🔥🔥🔥😍.
I look forward to Clementine's story I heard a preview at the end of this book and Blair's other sisters stories.
Love it!

But disaster strikes as Blair’s sister Clementine is bitten by the werewolf leader, Kurt, trying to force a mate bond with her. Blair and her sisters race away into the night like Cinderella and Damon is determined to find the little siren he can’t get out of his head or off his tongue. Even if that means offering sanctuary to all five girls at his vampire manor. Forcing Blair into a mate bond. Bribing her with a pretty indoor pool. And going up against one of the five magical leaders and his legion of werewolves.
This book is instead set in a magical realm, but everything is very modern for the most part, which reminds me of HP Mallory works and its fun.
The banter and wit of this story and its characters are entertaining. And I found the lore they sprinkled evenly throughout interesting to learn. I look forward to more in the other books; seems her sisters might experience the other kings too.
Blair and Damon are fun protagonists and their chemistry proves they are good for each other even when they of course butt heads. Their games are a riot too.
However, my two major complaints were there were too many Blair chapters. I liked her just fine and her narrator did a good job too. But several of those could have been Damon POV chapters too. A 50/50 split. But with so many, especially like 6-7 in a row, it takes you out of the story. If I couldn’t have 50/50, I’d rather not be teased with Damon’s POV at all when it was really good and rarely got it. Which sucks (ha) because his voice actor was excellent and very alluring with his tone for the king. This would have been a great duet book.
The other was at least 25-30% of this short book was them fighting and being stubborn on how many times they’d feed off the other (her emotions and him blood.) and it was all in one clump. I got tired of it quick. If it an issue, yes, but it should have been brought up and dealt with gradually and less.
Some of the editing for the audiobook was also choppy or way too long in the middle of a paragraph. I have this happen a decent amount of times with PFP books sadly although I love the company. Overall, this is a good to sink your fangs into after a good swim. But be careful; you’ll get glitter on you.
