I love how I actually feel I'm there!
it's an exciting account of The Saga of Fulgram Night Wolf that make me concentrate completely on what's going on. He is an honorable man but still very frightening!

A roaring good yarn!
Well done plot and interesting twists and turns. The characters were well developed and the author resisted making them predictable. The series seems to be pretty good and historically accurate. I particularly liked the old Norse poetry, at the beginning of each chapter. You can almost see the campfire burning and the wind whistling outside.. as the poems are chanted.
If you like a Viking stories...these are hard to beat.

Audible has this whole 10 volumes of the Viking series by James L. Nelson. I've read them all once and started again on the whole series. VERY ENTERTAINING. HISTORIC. TENSE. FUNNY. Even TEARY in places . Highly recommended!

Much better than Raiders Wake!
I adore this series and Nelson's ability to have so much detail and keep the reader. Raider's Wake, the previous book, was truly awful, but this was a fantastic follow up. I cannot wait for Nelson to continue and I loathe the day I have no more and must wait.

My most favorite series I have ever read
I can’t say enough good things about this whole series. It’s so incredibly good and interesting, intense and satisfying. Starry is one of my favorite characters, but Thorgrim is my ultimate favorite.

Masterful
Like the previous installments, this book was entertaining and interesting. I really appreciate this series! I’m looking forward to the next book.
