WOWWW. COULDN'T STOP LISTENING! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Author, James L. Nelson outdoes himself again with this epic HISTORICAL (barely fictional) Civil War novel set in the Confederate Navy. IRONCLADS. STEAMERS. PADDLE-WHEELERS. TUGBOATS. FRIGATES and more.. 1860s - the time of innovation in naval warfare. The reader can easily see the visuals painted in words by Nelson of mesmerizing battle scenes, pastoral scenery and unconditional love.
Narration is epic, excellent. WHAT AN EXCELLENT BOOK.

Great story. Narrator needs to do his research.
The story line is good and is only ruined by the fact that the narrator did not do the research on how to pronounce peoples and places names properly. He also gets a C- for his attempt at a Southern accent. It was almost condescending

Maritime Iron
There is much written about the Civil War. And much left blank because time erases all…eventually. Historical fiction paints a face on the names. Brings them to life. They were real people not caricatures in a movie producers wallet. Real people is how they deserve to be remembered. A good read that leaves me wanting more.

A epic saga………………….
A long listen but after setting the atmosphere is becomes exciting. Need to pay attention to the cast of characters.
