Eleven books later, Easy Rawlins is one of the few private eyes in contemporary crime fiction who can be called iconic and immortal. In the incendiary and fast-paced Little Green, he returns from the brink of death to investigate the dark side of L.A.’s 1960s hippie haven, the Sunset Strip.
We last saw Easy in 2007’s Blonde Faith, fighting for his life after his car plunges over a cliff. True to form, the tough WWII veteran survives, and soon his murderous sidekick Mouse has him back cruising the mean streets of L.A., in all their psychedelic 1967 glory, to look for a young black man, Evander "Little Green" Noon, who disappeared during an acid trip. Fueled by an elixir called Gator’s Blood, brewed by the conjure woman Mama Jo, Easy experiences a physical, spiritual, and emotional resurrection, but peace and love soon give way to murder and mayhem. Written with Mosley’s signature grit and panache, this engrossing and atmospheric mystery is not only a trip back in time, it is also a tough-minded exploration of good and evil, and of the power of guilt and redemption. Once again, Easy asserts his reign over the City of (Fallen) Angels.

Easy Rawlins - So glad he wasn't dead. A hero I would have missed
I love Walter Mosley's Easy Rawlins character. It's not that he's bad-assed because he's got people that are and he doesn't need to be. Easy is a humble man that needs to make things right.i loved this book.

Easy is my main man!
Back from the dead and back with his woman, Mosley has done it again, Easy Rawlings provers that life is full of ifs and buts. I'm taking my audio journey through Mr. Rawlings's world and it's WONDERFUL. My only issue is that I'll be finished with the last two books in the series before Mosley publishes again. What will I do while I wait for Easy? Oh well, I guess it's time to dive into some of Mosleys science fiction. Again, hats off, great job.

STILL one of my FAVORITES!!!!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I began reading Walter Mosley as a teenager and STILL find him to be one of the BEST to ever DO IT!!! Little Green by far is my favorite in the series. I would have given the performance 5 stars had the narration been performed by Denzel Washington just as I would have liked to hear Jill Scott on the #1 Ladies' Detective Agency....in a perfect world I guess.
